More Entertainment on the 2nd Trimester Board

Usually that's not the board for crazy entertainment but what the heck. Check out the "Baby Showers" thread with like 6 pages on the 2nd tri board. I would link it but I'm not sure how to do that on mobile. Not too crazy but still entertaining.

Protip: the quality of your life will improve exponentially if you avoid the tri boards altogether. The drama-whore part of me went through some withdrawals when I gave up 1st tri but now, I don't miss it at all.

I've only recently started visiting them, and those women are VICIOUS. I can't do it. And so stupid. sooooo stupid.

Yeah, I started out on the 2nd tri board; I'm still a visitor there, but I like it a lot better here!

Ugh I lurk here and there on third tri which isn't bad, but they're horribly obnoxious over on those 1st and 2nd tri boards and I'm really not sure why.  I also find it odd that there are so many women who are not currently pregnant but troll those boards.  Yes, I know that anyone can be here and yes, sometimes they give helpful advice and or support, but they're more well known for just being nasty and condescending.  Do they really have nothing better to do?

Not only that, but I can't tell you the number of times I have seen them flame someone for lack of knowledge/misinformation and then the posters who seem to think they know-it-all have posts that are filled with misinformation.

I'm all over that post.  I totally engaged in a battle of wits, but some of my opponents came to the battle unarmed.

I don't usually bother with the tri-boards except when someone XPs a good thread, which is how I jumped on this one.  It got XP'd in the baby shower board that I frequent a lot.  

I will say- it's been a great gif thread for me! I'm all over those gifs in there

I did the tri boards for previous pregnancies. This time I am here on M14 99% of the time. I recently just started hitting up the Baby Name board because, well....if this is a boy, he isn't going to have name

I read through page 3 then it got old... 2nd tri is not my favorite board but I do participate some. I like my May board and the cloth diaper board :-)

those women dogged me for my opinion on throwing your own shower and then when they ran out of stuff to say about that they just kept saying i was an idiot and stupid because i didnt use proper caps or punctuation and had a run on sentence......they were so rude i definetly like the May2014 better for the most part no one on here knocks your opinion even if they disagree

Erm, just so you know, each board is not a locked door where the members are isolated to that board and don't reside in other places, too.... in other words, some of us are here AND there- me, for instance.

And as someone who was there, I can say- be clear about why you were "dogged".  You were dogged for being very righteous about throwing your own shower and White Knighting a bumpie who fully deserved the flaming she was getting.  I'm not one for attacking grammar and punctuation but go back and re-read your posts.  They were almost impossible to understand in one read through! You had to know people were going to say something.

Im not saying anything here that i wouldnt say there Im not hiding behind another board and Im well aware people from that board are here too and I re-read most things before I send and punctuation and caps shouldnt really affect the way you read something.......and yes I basically got dogged because of MY opinion that when I threw my shower it wasnt a tacky decision and people thought I was wrong but last time I checked I was allowed to have my own opinion about things Im sorry that people need proper punctuation and caps to understand the words.

Punctuation shouldn't affect how you read something?! Really?! YES IT DOES, YOU MORON. No punctuation = one long run-on sentence. Sweet baby Jesus. I'm sorry honey, but you are an idiot if you truly believe that. As a teacher, this makes me weep.

Yeah, who needs all that punctuation and capitalization crap? Nobody needs to know when you're starting a new sentence, breaking up a thought, or talking about something specific (you know, nouns vs. proper nouns, @Christinaruth74 ). Nothing at all do with how people interpret what you have to say on a written forum. None at all.

First- I never said YOU were hiding behind other boards.  I said that you should think before posting b/c people are on more than one board and may already know why you were dogged on another board, so being misleading about why people said what they said isn't accurate.

Second- As I already said, I am not usually the grammar/spelling/punctuation police.  However, when you write LONG PARAGRAPHS that are endless with NO ATTEMPT at punctuation whatsoever, it's impossible to understand.  If you don't want to bother with punctuation, don't be surprised when people flame you for it.  Your point is lost when you sound ignorant.

Lastly- you're entitled to your opinion about how showers thrown for yourself are NOT tacky, but those who disagree with you are not entitled to an opinion? Hey pot, here's a kettle.
