Exercise video recommendations?

I started doing the 30 Day Shred video (level 1) twice a week before I got pregnant, and currently, at 6 weeks, I'm still doing that, since my doc said I could continue doing any exercise I was doing beforehand. I feel like I probably shouldn't continue to level 2, since I don't want to push myself too much. This video twice a week is essentially all the exercise I get, and I'm not sure I'm flexible enough to do yoga -- I'd rather have something that's cardio and (light) weights. Are there any pregnancy exercise videos that you'd recommend?

So hi doknow! It's nice to meet you! Tell us more about yourself.

Max gave the same advice I would have. I never used a video in my previous pregnancy. Good luck finding one you like. :)

  • I was coming on here to ask something similar. As for yoga, I'm NOT the least bit flexible, but I went to a prenatal yoga class yesterday. It was very low key and definitely come as you are. So it's definitely worth a shot if you're even a little curious about it!

  • AnyMax and Trombgirl, I am looking for person recommendations from Bump forum users, not random Google results, but thank you. NYGirl02, thanks for the yoga info. Maybe I will check a DVD out of the library or something.
  • @doknow I got the Summer Sanders prenatal workout DVD. I normally do ballet barre classes, but between a cold and work and morning sickness I have not felt up to it. I really like the DVD so far. I found a lot of really good options on Amazon and read a lot of reviews. Good luck finding one you like!!
  • For the first few weeks I wasn't able to fathom the thought of exercise but Saturday I went to my normal yoga class and it was the first day in weeks I wasn't sick.

  • Thanks, everyone. As it turns out, I started spotting yesterday, and now I fell like I'm coming down with a cold, so I guess I'm taking a break. I'll ask my doctor, but I assume that if I'm spotting I should not be exercising.
