LO is all over the place. He's just over 7 months old and his feedings have gotten all wonky. He's EFF and we used to have a schedule about like this:
7am - 6 oz
10am - 4oz
1pm - 4-6oz
4pm - 4-6oz
6pm - 4oz
8pm - 6 oz
Which worked great! And he's sleep from about 8:30 to 2, wake up have another 6 oz, and then sleep until 8 again.
But now, half the time he's not interested in eating at all, he'll gulp down an ounce and then look around and act bored and stop eating. However, during his overnight feed he will take 8-10 ounces. Also, that feed he's started waking up at midnight and then at 5 or 6 am just to get up, only eat 4 oz and then take a nap around 8am.
I usually offer a tablespoon of pureed veggies when we eat lunch and when we eat dinner, so he has 1-2 tbs of solids on top of all of this. Is this too much for someone his age? He also lately as seemed like he is an absolute giant, he's all but grown out of his 6 month clothes and his 9 month clothes fit perfect.
I am wondering if this is a growth spurt that we should ride out or if I need to retool his feeding schedule to 4-5 feeds offering 6-8 oz of formula rather than 6-7 feeds offering 4-6 oz of formula? What is normal for your 7-8 month old?
