QOTW: What gives you the most hope in holding this rainbow baby in your arms? (Proactive dr? Cerclage? A person? Your faith? Etc?)
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
PS. Im almost 38 weeks, so getting close to baby time. For the weeks Mrs Nice isnt able to, would anyone else be willing to run this? Not sure how active I will be for a while after he comes.

Re: PGAL Check-in
Follow up OB visit on Monday for trip to ER yesterday.
Only real craving I've experienced so far is pickles. I always want a jar in the fridge just in case, lol. I was diagnosed with GD immediately, so I have to be careful with the sweet cravings.
Up until yesterday it was the cerclage scheduled to be placed next Friday. Now it's looking like bed rest.
A lot. I've been doing pretty good with pgal brain so far, so by the end of yesterday I was a mess. Thursday I felt like I was leaking something, but there was never anything there. Yesterday morning there was some fluid so after OB said they couldn't see me til middle of next week DH and I went to the ER. They determined I was leaking a little amniotic fluid, barely, and suspect a high tear in the sac. I'm on strict bed rest for now in hopes it will heal itself. Too much time to think. Praying it does heal, cause I can't handle a second 2nd trimester loss.
I'm 27w3d
Our growth scan and 3D ultrasound are scheduled for Feb 11th. I can't wait to see our little girl, it's been so long.
Symptoms? I have this never ending groin/pelvic pain. Cravings? I'm still waiting for some girl scout cookies:(
QOTW: the fact that we've made it this far is comforting, but some days my PgAL brain still gets the best of me and i feel like something terrible is going to happen. I know from a medical prospective we've done everything we can to prevent a loss (cerclage, 17p, bedrest, Terbutaline) that also helps with the doubt.
Open Topic: next week we'll be 28wks which was one of our biggest goals. After the u/s we'll probably (finally) start preparing for our LO, it's been hard to purchase/plan anything.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? BPP/NST on Monday.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Felt sick this morning and getting tired. But the bursts of energy come...before i have to rest for an hour.
QOTW: What gives you the most hope in holding this rainbow baby in your arms? My dr has been great. He has monitored me more and been proactive on all my care. This time around we do extra shots and medication for the MTHFR clotting disorder. And I just keep praying for a live baby to bring home. "Living on a prayer.."
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Oh heck, what isn't?

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? My second NST tomorrow, and just celebrate our baby shower on Saturday.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? My gums are so sore, I feel like a teething baby
QOTW: What gives you the most hope in holding this rainbow baby in your arms? (Proactive dr? Cerclage? A person? Your faith? Etc?) I'd have to say my cerclage...I veiwed it as the obstetrical equivalent of superman's cape. I never had any significant shortening this time, and now that we're so far along I feel confident in my hospital that she would still be ok if born early (though I want her to cook a few more weeks).
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Worrying that we'll have everything we need. Our nursery is not ready yet, hubby hasn't assembled the furniture, so everything we got from the shower is piled in the living room. Everything is a mess and it's making me anxious.

Noethola I can step up for the next couple months for the times Mrs. Nice isn't able to unless someone else wants to.
Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? Just happy to be in the third trimester! No appts this week - bi weekly OB appt next week.
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Always something sweet! I could eat cookies, brownies, cake, muffins, ALL DAY LONG...
QOTW: What gives you the most hope in holding this rainbow baby in your arms? (Proactive dr? Cerclage? A person? Your faith? Etc?) DH has been amazing and our MFM is very proactive. Many drs. would've dismissed us saying we don't have any risk factors because we had triplets last time and a singleton this time, but she has been proactive on cervical length checks and progesterone shots.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? I've missed our babies a lot this past week - lots of hormones in my body and a lot of triggers, I guess. (one being tax preparations that need birth and death certificates...ugh...) and yet I've also had so much joy and love for this baby (and got excited - if not giddy - when I saw that gifts were starting to be purchased from our registry...)
