Long babies?!?

So my doctor said our LO is in the 100% for height but now I'm curious on how that really is...
She was 24 inches and 11 pounds 8 ounces at her one month. She is now going on 7 weeks Monday so I know she weighs more!
She was 8 pounds 14 ounces and 21 inches at birth.
The real reason I'm wondering is because I'm having trouble fitting her in dresses without she britches hanging out too. She is in 3 months but I'm wondering if I should bump her up in another size already.
What size are your babies? Weight, height, and clothes.
Thanks (:

Re: Long babies?!?

  • DS is 5 weeks and 9lb4oz and 22 1/2 inches. He's still wearing some newborn clothes and some 0-3. DS1 was a long baby. I always had to move up a size in clothes for the length.

  • Not sure about LOs height or weight, but at 9 weeks she's been in size 2 diapers and is currently in either 3-6mo and 6 mo size clothes. She's too long for 3 mo

  • 6 weeks, 12.5 lbs, 23 inches still wearing 3 month clothes in most brands but has outgrown any Circo (Target) and Gerber stuff. There are a few Baby Gap things she's outgrown too. I'd say feel free to size up - can't hurt!

  • At her 2 month check up she was 23 3/4 in 9 lbs 12 ounces and just starting to wear 0-3 mo clothes. Doc said she was in 70th percentile for height.
At birth she was 19 inches and 6 lbs 1 ounce

He's 12lbs 10oz and 22 3/4 in at almost 8 weeks. 50% for weight and 25% for height. Oh and 90% for head. LOL Big ass head. He wears mostly 0-3, some newborn gowns depending on the brand.
  • We r in 6 month clothes mostly. Very few if his 3 months fit. He 2 months old 13 lbs 6 oz and 24 inches. We r also in size 2 diapers. He's up there in the percentiles.
  • G was 22 inches and 9 pounds 1 ounce at 1 month appointment. She's one month tomorrow, with a visit next week, so I know she's much bigger now. She's mostly in 0-3, and a few newborn clothes still.
  • DD turned 1 month yesterday and is 10lbs 1oz and 23". She is currently in 0-3 months but some are getting a little short. The problem we're having is that a lot of clothes that fit her length are too wide for her. But the Carters 3 month size fits perfectly right now so she's wearing a lot of that.

  • Almost 8 weeks, 25 inches 13.5 lbs. we're in 6 month stuff because I couldn't zip the feetie pjs and the snap outfits were unsnapping. I'm breeding giants over here. Haha
  • I just weighed my son and he is 13 pounds.  He was measured a couple weeks ago and was 24 inches then.  He is 9 weeks, 2 days today.  His 2 month appointment is Friday.   I washed 3-6/6 month sized clothes earlier this week.  He will start wearimg it this week.  I have left tags on a lot of the short sleeved 3-6/6 month stuff because I am thinking he is going to outgrow it before he can wear it, so I want to be able to return it if needed.

  • My LO was 8.07 and 21.75in at birth... weight dropped down to 7.14 after birth. At our 1 no appointment he was 11.3 and 22.75in. He is in the 80th percentile all around. I packed up nb clothes at 2 weeks And went up to 1s in diapers around the same time... With DS1, we used nb clothes and diapers until he was around 6 weeks.

  • Sounds like my DD was. She was always until age 4 100% on height. Move up to six months size.

  • LO is one month and 23 inches. She's only about 52% for weight though. She fits in 3mo outfits because of her length (and she also has a large head), but they're pretty roomy because of her weight. She weighs at least 9lbs by my super accurate weighing technique (weigh myself with and without her). ;)

9 weeks 7.5kg,16.5lbs and when he was measured last at 7wks he was 65cm, 25.5" I think it was. He's in 3-6mth clothes and will have to go into the crawler nappies, the infant ones are getting tight now. His shoulder is nearly at the level on the car seat that says he needs to go forward facing
  • At L 's one month appointment, he was 11# 2 oz and 23 inches. He was in the 88th percentile for height, so that makes sense that your LO is in the 100th percentile... He is in size 2 diapers and mostly 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6 now at 6 weeks old. The 0-3 are getting pretty short now...
  • My little boy was 9lb 5oz at birth 22 inches long. At his one month appt almost two weeks ago he was 12lb 11oz and in the 97th percentile for both height and weight. He was 13lbs 3oz today! He's been wearing 3-6 month clothes since he was 4 weeks old because everything looked like belly shirts on him and the 0-3 month sleepers wouldn't even allow him to straighten his legs fully. Haha Future basketball players!
  • My dd was 22 inches at birth, so I'm sure she is longer than that now. She is in 3-6 month clothes because her arms and legs are too long for smaller sizes. None of my kids ever wore the sizes that coordinated with their age, they were always in much bigger sizes.
