@bandteacher that sucks!!!! I loved band and orchestra!!! And think both are important. General music blows!!
Just had two month appt. doc gave the two shots at one time in one leg and then immediately rumpled and played with the paper on the table to distract her as I held her. It totally worked and she forgot about the shot site. She's sleeping peacefully now. Just wanted to share!!
Hopefully it stats that way! The pain usually comes later!
Robert has his appointment tomorrow. Would it be wise to give him tylenol after the shots regardless of his mood as a preventative? Or is it better to wait to see how he feels?
@SomersIsles congrats on the job!
@bandteacher I'm sorry they're changing your position. My mom's district is slowly eliminating all of its teachers with 15+ years of experience and didn't re-up her contract for next year. She teaches family & consumer sciences and hasn't found another position yet, so she might be changing fields altogether. Sucks.
Thanks! And in regards to what the school district is doing... is that even legal?? Isn't that age discrimination or something??
@bandteacher i'm so sorry. Is there any other school districts near by that need a band teacher?
@babylimas when can you POAS to find out? Hope it was just the brownies!
I probably won't unless I'm really puking. No need to freak out the husband unless it's real. In all seriousness, I think he would die.
My friends want us to go to dinner Saturday night for one of their birthdays. I don't want to leave Isla. Then my SIL said no, and their son is 6 months so I feel better about saying no now.
Also, does anyone have maternity leave/STD through Aflac or a similar company?
At my old job maternity leave was 12 weeks, and luckily I was able to negotiate that with my new job when they hired me in November. But their policy is 6 weeks. If I'm still there when I get pregnant again (although I seriously hope not and that I get a new job soon), that is not long enough. I was considering getting it on my own but was curious how costly it is.
I am about to become a ward of the state and am super excited. Don't be jealous that I'm getting WIC for formula. What what. If I hashtagged I would say - #perksofspecialneeds

I have such limited time for bumping and it makes me sad. I wish we all lived closer to each other so we could have play dates and drink wine and bitch about in laws and husbands.
@SomersIsles it's totally age discrimination, but so far they're hiding it well enough that attorneys can't find cause for a lawsuit. Basically, they're finding something "wrong" during each teacher's evals and then canning them for it (which is totally NOT the normal course of action).

@bandteacher I'm so sorry. If I need to go tonya harding/ nancy kerigan (sp?) On anyone you just let me know. And you'll always be the leader of the band to me.
Sorry I taunted y'all with baby goats. I had to play run around this morning since I'm helping my Mama load up her moving van.
@amholley1 YES. Come play with the goats, chickens, turkeys, 3 legged dog, and occasionally the neighbors giant pig. If we start advertising now we might be able to recruit as many as the waffle daycare.
The baby goats still need names. They're both boys...and so far my husband likes the name Cyrus, and I like the name tyke.
Apparently they're shy, & don't want to get out of the dog kennel in the corral. Sorry, I'm mobile & can't format stuff.
I think it was @CruiseGirl28 who asked for a picture, but my new swimsuit came in the mail! The top is pretty ill fitting so I'll probably go get a new one from target. I like my tops with underwire. But the bottoms are exactly what I was hoping for! Not bad for $12.19
@NanaCook I LOVE THEM. I'm going to forever call the stripey faced one hopscotch. The other will be scooter. When I come to live on the farm I'll get teacup pigs and make a tiny animal farm.
The goats don't love us....yet. Apparently snuggling them against their will hasn't made me their favorite person. @TallAsh my husband deals with the animals. I can feed the dog. The chickens are free range...so that's usually hilarious.
I was thinking of you today and wondering how things went! We're in the middle of a 9 day vacation with the 3 kids and it's been an adventure but they're doing really well.
I don't remember who it was (for some reason I thought it was @WisconsinCheese12) that mentioned the movie Return to Zero on Lifetime. I hadn't heard of it but went and DVRed it. I'm just watching it now....holy sh*t!!! Cue massive emotions and lots of tight baby snuggles!
It really hits too close to home too...my mom was pregnant with about 2 weeks until her due date and she felt something was wrong. Sure enough...she lost the baby and still had to deliver it. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what it would be like to have him around!!! ;(
@babylimas considering I have goo goo eyes for you, that is a huge compliment. And you can have both! @snow527 thank you so much pretty lady! @laura8388 this bathing suit makes me want more tattoos haha. And thank you so much gorgeous!
Ya'll are making me feel all kinds of warm fuzzies
Also @WisconsinCheese12 no one would argue with you that you did the right thing by taking that poor fur baby in. I can understand how you got pissed when you got the response asking if you were joking. But like everyone said, it's because no one knew the back story. Regardless of this, that limearita sounds super refreshing and you should treat yo'self
I vaguely remember @wisconsincheese12 mentioning this cat issue with her neighbor before. And, I'm pretty sure she put up the pictures because she felt so sad about the kitty. I swear I've read/seen it before. Perhaps she just thought people would remember without rehashing all the awful details.
@bennieangel I have the Paraguard and I LOVE it. I like being hormone free, and weirdly I do prefer to get my period monthly. I find it reassuring to know that everything is still working. Also it lasts for at least ten years, but fertility returns pretty much instantly whenever it's taken out.
I had one pre-baby, and I just got my new one in today!

Me: 28 DH: 27
All of these ultrasounds and gender reveals...
My uterus is begging for a baby.
Okay its just hormones.
I miss it!
On anyone you just let me know.
And you'll always be the leader of the band to me.
@Laura8388 love the new ink

Don't tell me you are a texan fan too?!
Go longhorns!!! (And cowboys!)
What am i thinking about?
How i only have 18 years left of my baby.
It doesn't seem like such a long time now.
Seriously, my hormones need to calm down. I just had my period. They shouldn't be this bad.
Otherwise i may become the next duggar and have babies forever!
