Video monitor- camera placement

Ben's new fun past-time while in his crib is to scootch over to the camera (that's placed on the back corner of his crib) and grab at the cord and knock the camera down. Little turkey. I need to mount it I suppose but don't like that the camera angle doesn't go down far enough to see him if he is all way to the side where the camera is. Where all have you guys placed or mounted your camera and do you get the best perspective there? I'm not opposed to mounting on the wall just curious what others have done.

Re: Video monitor- camera placement

  • Ours is mounted over the window aimed at the crib (which is set in the center of the perpendicular wall). With the little remote we can adjust to see any point in the room. It also works out for us that when mounted over the window, we can rig the wire along the side of the window, down to the outlet so it's not super loose and play-worthy.

  • We did wall mount ours because you don't want them to have access to the cord once they are mobile. We have it to the left side high above the crib and we get a perfect shot of the entire crib. Our camera can also zoom in 3 times.
