Our little guy has started waking up crying ever so often during the night. He took an early nap today and was in bed by 6:40 pm and just woke up crying. I've done some reading and it sounds like maybe it's related to separation anxiety. Anyone have any experience with this? Any suggestions, tips, etc ... are greatly appreciated.
I read an article that said to try and let them go back to sleep by themselves, keep the light low, no paci, no voice and don't pick them up. But I just can't do that. He's really crying, with real tears. It breaks my heart.
He didn't wake up at all last night but was up 3 times the night before. He doesn't wake up from his naps and in fact, never wakes up crying. He's always a happy, smiley baby and usually just sits in his bed and plays until we hear him.
TIA!!

Re: waking up crying
I'm all over the place with whether it's separation anxiety, reflux, gas, teething..I change my mind everyday on what I think the problem is. And nothing I've tried has worked!
I will not let him CIO..we tried it for 3 days just during his naps and it made his reflux so much worse! And it was really hard on me, I just can't do it - but definitely don't judge others who can, if someone wants to come sleep train my baby for me I'm cool with that haha.
So I'm out of options and any new ideas...If you find one that works pass it along haha! But sounds like he's getting under control quickly for ya
