Have I mentioned? We're getting kitties next week!!

We've decided that the best way to honor the memory of the two cats we lost this past summer/fall is to open our home to foster kitties starting next week. ?

We found a shelter to work with and next Tuesday one of the women is bringing me 2 kitties who are 2 y/o brothers. ?I am SO excited!!! ?I have to go out this weekend and buy all the things we need. ?I find myself being a little bit sad about feeling like we're replacing Abby and Penny, but two 2 y/o boy kitties are the absolute farthest things from 2 little old lady cats, so I'm trying not to feel too guilty. ?

I just want Tuesday to get here already! ?"Patience" is NOT my word for this year. ??

That's so wonderful of you to become a pet foster parent! I'm sure they are badly needed everywhere!?

that is great thing to do. i think you knew i lost my cat of 9 years a couple months ago too. when jessica asks for a "kitty" i am so ready to get one.

That's awesome!  And there are so many kitties that need homes, fostering is a great thing.  Though, I fostered a dog about 4 years ago...and she never left!  I fear I would adopt every critter that came into my house!

we put our cat down before thanksgiving...and we are probably going out looking for a new kitty tomorrow   we can't wait - we love having animals in our home.  DH will only agree to one cat, but that is fine with me.

have fun fostering cats - we got one of our cats (the one who now lives with my aunt) through a foster program.  I'd want to adopt them all, though - and then I'd wind up being crazy cat lady!

Awww.....i love cats! Your DS is going to be in heaven. I would love to get a kitty, but my current cat would not be very happy! Enjoy the new additions to your family!
