I'm having some real trouble with my 6 week old daughter. For some reason, she really hates being worn!!! I can't figure it out. We've tried a ring sling, a moby wrap, a beco carrier, and a mei tai. She just seems to hate it. I try to make sure she's fed and has a clean diaper before we try anything. Right now, I only wear her at the house, trying to get her used to it and comfortable. I've tried keeping her froggy-legged as well as extending her legs so that she is seated with her legs extending around me.
If it helps, she's about 8 1/2 lbs and about 22 inches long. She's actually my third, and it would be so great if I could wear her to keep up with the housework and the older two. Honestly, I loved wearing my older two and I'm a bit of a loss. I would really appreciate any suggestions!!!
Mine tolerated the bjorn (forward facing only) until she was old enough to go in a back carry - THEN she was happy. Keep trying, be patient, and good luck!
Have you tried going for a walk with her in a carrier? How long are you giving her to settle? Many babies dislike not having movement while being worn so I'd try that to help her grow accustomed to it. Also if she at all tired when you are trying, it's more likely she's fighting the urge to go to sleep and not being worn

DD never liked being worn unless I was vacuuming. The sound was soothing. Maybe try some white noise or something that soothes her. As PP said though, some babies just don't like being worn.
Thanks! I definitely try some of these and keep my fingers crossed that she doesn't just hate being worn. That would be tricky with the other two kiddos!
