Does anyone else feel fat?

Hi I'm almost 17 weeks and have been getting bigger but I just feel fat  I say this because what I thought was my "baby belly" it isnt lol last time I went to the doc she found the heartbeat way lower than my "baby belly" has anyone else had this? Everything feels like its being pushed upward. Also I know you start to feel the baby kick around 16-20 weeks but when does they baby start to turn up and down?

I think most pregnant women feel that way around this time. Your midsection starts to fill out before it actually looks like a baby bump. I am also almost 17 weeks and was told to expect to "pop" around 20. As far as the location of the baby, I do think it is below your navel at this stage, but it is pushing your internal organs around so that may account for feeling like you have a "bump" higher up (my stomach looks like that too). I am looking forward to looking more pregnant and less chunky, but I'm trying to remember it might take a little while.

If I'm lucky enough to get pregnant, I'm totally cool with feeling fat.

I'm 27 weeks with #2 and have had a belly for a couple of months. But I feel like I actually look good and pregnant now. ;-) With #1 I was at least 20 weeks before I felt I looked even semi-pregnant though I'd been in maternity pants for a while. I started off at a much heavier weight this time around so my belly has to "compete" with the rest of my silhouette.

Hang in there - you'll have a visibly pregnant belly before you know it ;-)

I have always been curvy, but over the last few years I have gained more weight in my midsection.  I would try and hide it and suck it in alot, well I can no longer suck it in.  So I "look" more pregnant than I am, but it is just chubby right now.  I am looking forward to it getting a little more hard so that I can blame it on the baby, lol.

Feeling fat has been the theme of my pregnancy! HAHA

I am showing now, but I don't have a nice round bump without the help of maternity clothes (the band on pants, etc. helps to created a more rounded look. I still feel lumpy. Which I hate, but such is life.

I keeping thinking any day now things will shift I will have more of a full, round bump, but so far that day hasn't arrived yet.

Every person's body is different and every pregnancy is different, but what you are describing I can TOTALLY relate to. I would love to tell you that this phase is almost over for you, but I think you just have to hang in there and see how your body keeps changing...

I currently am relatively bloated from my IVF stims and definitely feel like with the right clothes I could pass it off as a pregnancy belly.
This seems fitting since last night @manada and I realized/decided that since they "back date" a pregnancy to the start of the menstrual cycle, I'm kinda doing the first two weeks of any future pregnancy (from these eggs) for her/us right now.
By that twisted logic, I am showing in pregnancy even before conception!
Anyway, thanks for indulging my early morning goofiness. I had to find somewhere to talk a little about the surprising amount of pre-retrieval bloating I'm having. I've read this is a common menopur side effect. Thank goodness for stretchy black pants I can wear to teach.

I felt the same pre- (and post-) retrieval.  It's such a weird feeling!

lol yeah every week I get a update on my phone and it always says take this weeks belly photo and i'm thinking to myself of what a big old fat roll? why on earth would my future child want those memories.Its also kinda embarrassing cause family will come up and rub it and its like um thats just fat lol.I think i'm more in a rush for the baby belly for my partner she is surrounded by pregnant women all day at work and feels weird asking to touch their bellies and she just keeps saying i cant wait for you to get yours so i can touch it whenever i want.We often joke about it because she is seriously the type that would wake me up in the middle of the night and be like did you feel that? the baby kicked.Being a 2nd time mom but first pregnancy it is very different and I can only imagine what it is like for her not being about to feel it from my side.I do find it very cute when she post updates on FB she always says we are some many weeks pregnant today or we have a doctors appt.

Same here folks! I was a bloated mess prior to and following retrieval! I also had OHSS (which I didn't realize until I was 6 weeks pregnant and had my first u/s), so I looked bumpy and lumpy from day 1 (or day -5 HAHA). My wife kept wanting to take photos to document the whole process and I just felt like a total lump. We took photos anyway, and I am glad we did, but I definitely was not feeling it at the time. Hang in there @Healz - you and @Manada are getting sooooo close!
