UO - It's been a while...

(Repeat from the TTGP board UO I posted earlier today)

My UO today is that I can't stand when people call their LO girlfriend, homeboy, homegirl, etc...

It makes me stabby.

  • WOW! The person who is the shower is for told me, "Every baby deserves a shower!" and I don't agree with it at all. Showers are for your family and friends to help you get started on your journey into parenthood. Even a shower for a different gender or when it's been a long time since you had kids is appropriate. But when you have kids that close in age and the same gender, I think it gets to be gift grabby.

  • My UO is that I'm not looking forward to the Olympics, and I'm already tired of all the hype.  I actually really like some of the events, but when the time difference is like it is with Sochi, you always find out who won before you get a chance to watch it.  It's super annoying to have to avoid the internet, TV or general conversation for a whole day just to watch the ice skating finals in suspense!

  • I think the Disney princess hype is annoying. I love Disney movies but they put those damn princesses on EVERYTHING its making it hard to find fun girly things for daisy's birthday that doesn't include them.
  • I'm not really sure if this is an UO, but I had to say it - I cannot stand how frequently people "brag-plain" on TB where they are complaining about something just so they can sneak in how great they are doing as a mother!  It's really so self-righteous and annoying.

How many times has someone posted something like "I can't stand it when people make fun of me for keeping my LO RF" or "I'm so tired of getting the side-eye because my child doesn't drink juice" or "I can't believe I've had to defend my position to BF my child to another person."

Anyone have any favorites they've seen recently they'd like to share?

  • A few days late, but my uo, I don't want to potty train. It makes dd seem grown up :( she is training herself without my approval, she says Emily potty, takes off her diaper and goes (not every time but a couple times a day) I am refusing to let this happen with my support....lol.
