Date set for Roo's Nerological Apt.

I am scared, even though it's just a consultation just the fact I'm going down this road just has me on Pins.

We are going to Boston's children's hospital on 2/27.

The Pedi wants me to start the process with a Nerologist here in NH on Monday..

My heart is breaking for my little Roo...

I am sure this must be scary and I would feel the same way, but this is just a step towards figuring out what is going on.  I am sorry I can't recall the specifics of what is sending you to the neurologist's office, but knowledge will help you make the best choices for her.  Not knowing is often the hardest, since we tend to imagine the worst.

 

You will be in amazing hands at Children's.  Have you been there before?  A had his hernia surgery there last July and we could not have asked for better care for him (or us as his parents). 

You will both be in my thoughts.

No never have been, but I hear it's a good hospital to go to.

Roo has just stopped all emotions. She has not cried in over a month, and thats not right for a 11 month old. She won't smile, or laugh. She will acknowledge her name and crawl for food. But she won't cry when hurt or angry. She sits in her crib for hours with not a peep, a mothers dream yes.. but not right.

Thanks for refreshing my memory.  I can definitely understand why you're concerned.  Hopefully, you will begin to get some answers soon. 

And I am sure that you have support in your non-online life, but we are also here if/when you need support.  Keep us posted on how it goes with your appointment on Monday.  There is so much more doctors know- and can do- now that it really is amazing.

Just wanted to send you some love. Having to go to specialists is so scary. Its hard knowing something is wrong and not knowing what...and its hard going to those appts and worrying what you may be told. So many T&Ps that your appts go great.

Has she continued to have seizures? Hoping not.

Hugs we were just at children's for a neuro consult because LO is way to strong for a baby ESP a preemie. And they thought she was having seizures in the er. The np we saw was so lovely and spent an hour with us and then she brought in the doctor out of everyone at children's they were by far the nicest so far.
Also in the same office is the learning disabilities center so all your basis are covered. Good luck it's not gonna be easy but you are in good hands!

Also pm me if you want my mother is an advocate and has basically lived at children's she might have some answers if you need them.
