I make baby oatmeal by grinding steel cut oats into a powder. I then cook about 1/4 C oats on 1 cup water on the stovetop. This is more than Dd can eat in a sitting and leftover oatmeal doesn't look very good.
I know quite a few of us make our own baby food. I am wondering if any of you just add hot water to the oatmeal powder. I recently received a Keurig as a gift and I'm thinking I can use the hot water from that to cook the oatmeal. Could I just add the hot water and let it sit for 10 min? Has anyone had success with this method?
Or, do you have tips for freezing or refrigerating it without it getting gummy?

Oatmeal is too much work! :-)
Otherwise, could you freeze it?

I usually make rolled oats or steel cut oats, because they can be refrigerated and with a little liquid taste fresh, however I did just buy some organic quick oats for the baby.
It will have a little texture, but I am sure she will be fine. Plus, it will make oatmeal a snap for my older two in the mornings too.
