And how's your weather today?

Perfectly acceptable if you're not comfortable saying or would prefer to just say the region you're from.  I'm just curious where we all are.

I'm from Rhode Island, and we got an inch or so of snow last night and during the commute this morning, but now it's sunny and in the mid-20s, I think.

Just moved to DFW area recently.  It is cold (about 40 degrees) but I can handle it after 30 years of winters in the Northeast .

I am from Chicago and it has been freezing!  Today there has been a heat wave at 18 degrees F. Monday and Tuesday were below zero and schools were closed.

I am originally from Pennsylvania, but currently living in Kansas City. It has been pretty cold, but barely any snow. I'm not sure how I feel about this...

I'm in the Seattle area.  I'm originally from Vancouver, Canada with some time spent in Arizona.  I swear my family has gypsy blood!

The weather here is grey and rainy.  When I see what the rest of the country is getting though, I feel like I have no room to complain!

I'm in north Florida and the whole city shut down today because we had a 90% chance of snow and we are totally unequipped to handle it. It didn't snow at all and we have the tiniest bit of ice crystals on the deck after it rained all morning. I'm pretty unimpressed with the "snow day" we've had so far!

I'm in Wisconsin, and its been bitterly cold. Early this week the news was telling us that there was a natural gas line ruptured in Canada and that MN, WI and ND should lower their thermostats down to 60. This was during the two days that WI schools were closed due to the temps getting down to -35+! ha. Luckily, they lifted that rule, not like I followed it or anything...

I just got back to work from the gym, it was sunny and felt much warmer than the previous few days! I just looked at the temp and its a whopping 3 degrees. HA. Heat wave!!

Excited for spring!!

I'm in San Diego, it's 68 degrees right now. I'm wearing gloves, I'm a wimp and I can't handle anything that resembles the cold.

I'm originally from DFW but in Ohio now. It's crazy cold here to me. I'm not used to this! On the upside, I'm a teacher and our school has been closed since Thursday, so I haven't had to go out much in it.

I'm in Wisconsin, and it's up to 11 right now! Was -5 when me and DH left for work this morning...not cool. We're in the field today, but thankfully we've been huddled in the truck most of the day. So ready for spring!

I'm from Atlanta, the entire city is shut down today due to ice and 2-4inches of snow. All highways are shut down and people are still stranded in their cards going on 25 hrs. A woman even delivered a baby stranded in her car yesterday! It took me 5 hours to drive less than 5 miles yesterday to get home! Luckily, DH and I are home and housing some friends who were stranded. Anyone else in Atlanta?

I'm in Baton Rouge. We are shut down bc of the weather as well. Kinda embarrassing to admit to you gals facing much colder weather!

I'm originally from Southwest VA but have been in Phoenix for 5 years.  It's currently 65 here today on it's way to 77.

No way - you all don't have the equipment/infrastructure to deal with snow, so even the smallest bit would have to be a nightmare!  My heart goes out to everybody in the south dealing with this storm leaving people stranded and kids stuck at schools and everything else.  What a mess.

You and your DH work together?  Is it a family business, or did you meet at work, or how did that work out?  I'm totally being nosy - I understand if you're not comfortable answering.  At my work there are a whole mess of couples, and most of them met on the job, so I always wonder.

I'm from Minnesota. Like the rest of the mid-westerners, we've been dealing with below zero temps, wind-chills near 40 below zero, and lots of closed schools for the past week almost. Today it's pretty nice out, sunny and 22 right now! Feels pretty damn good

I'm in NW Ohio and it's really fucking cold! The temp has been hanging around the zero degree mark with below zero wind chill. We've pretty much been cooped up in the house since New Year's. It sucks.

We're in Portland, Oregon. The weather is pretty mild, low 50s I think, grey, and a little rainy. I'm originally from SoCal but I've been in Portland for 10 years. I'm also a complete wuss when it comes to severe weather, as is all of Portland. I refuse to drive in the snow haha.

Here in Nebraska it is a balmy 43 degrees! Thank goodness. We are expecting some snow (crossing my fingers) I do snow removal for my job so when it's just bitterly cold with no snow, days get a little long when you spend 8 hours trying to avoid the cold. I also got a brand new snow plow this week an really want a chance to try it out (I'm sorry that was really work nerdy).

I live in North Pole, Alaska. Love it here. Today we have beautiful blue skies and about 25*. I am so sorry to all of those in the South who are having such bad weather. Although we Alaskans may be chuckling a little, we understand that's not the norm and most places are not prepared for those types of conditions! I've had to go to school at -70 before... It's a different world here. But I hope you all stay safe!

I'm in the DFW area as well. Right now Im so grateful that we did not get the ice that other areas are getting. I was stuck in the house with my boys for about 5 days when we had ice in Dec. We lost power for a while and DH was out of the country so it was miserable. I never thought I'd look forward to Aug.

I was born and raised in Savannah, GA, but I moved to central South Dakota (aka, the middle of nowhere) last year.  The weather is cold and windy, just like every other day since October.

I'm in Lexington, KY. People were freaking out that we had school today since it was -2 this morning. I'm originally from Michigan so I find it pretty funny that we often miss for 2" of snow.

I have to agree with femail and jellybean and all the other MN/WI ladies.  I live in northern Wisconsin and its been ridiculously cold here.  Monday/Tuesday schools were closed because of the extreme cold temps.  Yesterday warmed up nicely though and I was appreciative of that since I had the day off to spend with my love for his birthday.

@susiebw Office romance we both moved to Wyoming to do environmental work for the oil and gas boom and met there, but got to transfer offices to be closer to our families a few years ago. It's a massive international company, so we lucked out!

Originally from Northern IL, I've lived in Nashville TN for 6 years now and love it.

The weather is normally much warmer here and today it's back to normal (45°), but it was below zero earlier this week. I do not miss the extreme cold up North, my family still living there is ready for it to be over.

Calgary, AB Canada & yes, it's very cold today. But also beautiful! Think rocky mountains & permafrost on the trees. It is currently -20C (-4F). Brrr!
Though I will be happy to live here in the summer @ 7 months pregnant & it's a comfortable 20-30 C (70-90F).
