Any nice stories?

The ATL thread made me think about all the good Samaritans I've seen over the past few weeks. With all this horrid weather we've had, it's really nice to see people pitch together and help out. Like picking a lady up who was walking home in the snow (@punkyfish)

I've seen TONS of cars in ditches but every single one I've seen has had at least 2 other cars stopped to help the person out. DH has even gone out in his jeep to pull a few friends out at help a few passerby's along the way... when offered money, he declined. I like that about him

People that live near the freeways with stranded people were walking to it loaded down with food, water, extra shirts, diapers, and all kinds of supplies, passing them out. Faith in humanity restored!

Not snow related, but here lately, our town has seen 2 devastating wild fires in 2 years. Last summer the line to donate items to the local care and share was nearly 2 hours long. The firefighters had to ask people to stop donating goods because the food banks where being overrun with donations.

It always makes me happy/sad that people are at their best when times are at their worst.
    Which just explains why there are so many assholes in Los Angeles.
