Time to Intro instead of lurk I suppose.

I keep seeing everyone's intros and figured it was time to do my own instead of lurking around.

I have a daughter who is almost two. I had her when I was 39. We have been trying for number two for over a year. We started fertility testing late last year and found out all is well except for my right tube is blocked and most likely egg quality is lacking at 41. We are headed into our first IVF cycle and our nurse teach appt is this afternoon. I hope to find support on this board and help in figuring out this whole process. Hopefully all the abbreviations that are used on here will start to make sense to me after today. Lol. Taking deep breaths and the first step today.
Married for the 1st time in 2009 @ 36.
Conceived DD naturally after trying for 1 1/2yrs - born May 2012
Trying to conceive #2 since Fall 2012
Blocked right tube.
1st IVF cycle started in February 2014
Retrieval was 3/4/14 (11 eggs retrieved, 5 fertilized)
Day 5 transfer was 3/9/14 (3 emryos transferred, 2-3AA, 1-2AA)
Beta test on 3/19/14 - BFP 294
Beta test 3/21/14 - 527
Beta test 3/28/14 - 5307 Not one, but two sacs seen on ultrasound!
4/4/14 - Saw Baby B's heartbeat! Baby A was stubborn.
4/11/14 - Lost Baby A :( Saw and heard Baby B's heartbeat @ 154
Our EDD is 11/25/14. Can't wait to meet our turkey baby! It's a girl!

    Welcome. Many of our lovely ladies are doing IVF now or have done cycles in the past so feel free to voice any concerns or questions you may have.

    Welcome! My ds is almost 2 and I had him at 39 and I'm trying and I'm 41:) I keep miscarrying they don't know why all test came up great...I hope your stay with us is short;)

    Hello and welcome :)

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    Thanks everyone and thank you for the link to the glossary. Our appt went well. If anything, now I have some idea of what to expect so that has made me feel better. Lots of info for sure.

    @Samuelismomma I think we've chatted a little in the past because we found those ages we had in common. So sorry to hear of the miscarriages. :(
