Jumparoo question

I know you're supposed to raise the jumparoo when their flat footed, thanks to an earlier thread but now I wanna know WHY? 

J's on his highest setting and is now flat footed but the damn thing has been our saving grace many times and I just don't wanna get rid of it! Someone tell me I can ignore Fisher Price please!

I'm guessing it has something to do with the shock landing on a flat foot could cause on the bone?  Not sure.

I don't know what we'll do either. R loves that thing. It's on the highest setting right now but luckily he's still on his toes

I would assume its hard on their hip/knee/ankle joints.
