Surprise! Ear infection!

I took DS2 in for his 6 month well checkup and the doctor said his ear was really infected. I had no clue he was at all sick. At another well visit she found a funky (minor) skin infection in his knee roll that I hadn't noticed. She must think I'm negligent!

We didn't know DS had an ear infection until he ended up in the hospital after he had a febrile seizure. The doctor said it was pretty bad...oops. We had no clue, I mean NO clue.

I felt so bad about that because DS1 was enormous and was always getting gunk in his rolls, so I had to be on top of it with him. DS2 is so much skinnier I didn't really know he even had a knee roll!

Nahhhh it happens.  We have had several undiagnosed ear infections- went in for something else and "her ears are infected!" ..... oh. Sometimes she makes it VERY known, and other times it doesn't seem to hurt her in the least when she has one- it's strange.

Yeah, when I took N in the other day, I thought the pedi would be concerned about his cough....turns out his ears were infected too! I kept watching him to see if he was tugging at his ears....nothin.
