Hello, My name is Christine. TTTS is a scary disease but there is HOPE!!! If you are pregnant with identical twins visit the TTTSfoundation website. Demand that your doctors inform you about TTTS with DETAILS. You need to know about symptoms, treatments, and outcomes. I lost my babies to TTTS but I did NOT have well informed doctors. All my doctors told me (Dr. Bavaro and Dr. Lescale) was "its so rare your babies will be healthy". when in fact ALL idenitcal twins pregnancies have a 15% chance of developing TTTS, which is NOT SO RARE. When I called my doctors with complaints of "feeling suddenly huge" and "having pain" I was brushed off as "what do you expect your having twins". My husband and I are not here to blame but we are here for CHANGE. Go to your OBGYNS and Maternal Health Workers and ask about TTTS, DEMAND INFORMATION its YOUR RIGHT!!!!!
