Anyone else can't stomach water?

Since week 6 m/s came in full force. Vomiting, dry heaving, can't eat etc. I'm so thirsty but water makes everything worse! Is anyone else having the same issue? I have found that red Gatorade helps, but dh says I still need more water. So I'm curious, What has been your drink of choice lately?

Re: Anyone else can't stomach water?

  • I swear that the one water dispenser outside of my office tastes different than all of the other ones, so I walk to a different one.

I've found lots of ice helps.

  • Gatorade has been my best friend for several weeks now. I figure it's better than drinking nothing at all.

  • I have to have very cold water, it helps. Also, I'm on an apple juice kick right now.
  • I can only drink water if it's icy cold, and I can only drink it through a straw.

  • I'm not doing well with water either. I can manage to force in about 1L a day. Lemonade & other juices have been my friend, I've been sticking with the Trop 50 stuff to cut back on sugar. I'm also having 1-2 glasses of milk a day.

  • I agree with previous posters about lemonade.  I could not handle the thought of water as well as many other beverages from about week 6 to week 14.  Without lemonade I would have been in trouble!  But I'm finally feeling better and back to drinking water, thank God!

  • I would def try water with lots of ice and/or through a straw. Also try different bottled water for taste.

I feel you, I couldn't stomach water for quite a few weeks, I need carbonation, so diet pop it was for awhile.

You could try sparkling water with some juice in it. I like La Croix with juice.

  • I have to have ice water through a straw. It's weird how a straw seems to help a lot of us. Also that sparkling v8 fusion sounds great in going to have to try some. Thanks @dorothyzbornak97

  • I drink tons more water if I have a straw (which is silly) but it works for me. I've been flavoring mine with a little bit of the Desani Drops flavoring. When I can't take it anymore, I do lemonade or just plain sparkling water from the soda stream. I've found that sometimes that little bit of fizz helps calm my stomach.
