I would feel the same as you emotionally like F* you and your F*in house. BUT, knowing the area it is a steal and you will definitely be able to sell for practically double with the new septic and upgrades to the inside if you decided to flip. Im glad they are offering you something and I hope it works out in the end.

Thanks @chricast! We looked at a few houses today. They were all like 50k more and didn't have the potential this one does.

Good luck with your decision it sounds like your husband is looking at the positive side of this awful situation. i know it's corney but try and listen to what your heart is telling you to do, that's what I do when my emotions are to much in a situation

I agree, if the 10k would mostly cover the septic, I'd just go with it. Besides, that bitchy seller is probably pissed about giving the 10k, so at least you can kind of feel better knowing she won't walk away happy , either. I would totally understand if you stabbed her with a pen, though.

We didn't have the seller when we closed but we did have to sign the papers twice because the seller's person had them sign on the wrong line. Hope it all works out for you @stephcarter
