I'm snowed in today, so why not talk names!! We are not TTC yet, but have the on going list of names just in case. MN would be Ruth for both of our grandmothers. DD is Charlotte (Charlie) Ann; we are NN people. What are your thoughts?? Any negative associations?

I voted for Amelia because it flows well with Ruth and has the best NN options, IMO. My favorite is Millie, but I like Mia, too. That said, if you told me your kids were Charlie and Millie I would definitely assume you had a boy and a girl.

won't let me vote from my phone but I choose Lorelei with Fiona and Amelia being close. I like Millie add a nn for Amelia.

We don't introduce her as Charlie, the NN is just for us. Anyone outside of immediate family and close friends only knows her as Charlotte. Totally valid point though!

I love Lorelei NN Rory. It was high on our list and my mom shot it down (the name is too close to that of my dad's ex wife). So I'd love to see other use it.

Oh man-- I had a really hard time choosing between Dahlia and Thalia!

I went with Dahlia.  It's a name we have on our long list.  I am not sure we would use it, because we have an unusual last name.  If we did decide to use it-- we would use the NN Dolly.

I LOVE Alice, Fiona, Amelia, and Dahlia. For Amelia I think you could use Millie, Mia, Lia, or Amy.

There is just something about that sound that tickles me. Funny, the only thing that I don't like about Dahlia is the most natural nickname. But that's how I feel about Amelia/Millie too...

I love both Alice and Thalia. I voted for Thalia because I figured Alice would get a lot of love.

Don't apologize! I could get sick of it the amount that I see it mentioned on here, but since I have only met one IRL, it helps keep the name fresh for me.

I voted for Amelia, but Fiona was a close second. 

If popularity bothers you, then my vote would change to Fiona.
