stretch marks questions

If you are going to get stretch marks, do they happen before the baby is born or after? I am about 29 weeks and I don't really have any. I just wondering if I could have a ton after birth?

I think it can go either way. I didn't have any until after giving birth with my first. I got two small ones on my side...but they faded away.

I didn't have any until 35 weeks- when the baby started blowing up in size.

I didn't get any stretch marks until the very last week with my first....this time I have started getting a few at 35 weeks. It can come before or after.

I always get them really late, with my first it was 36w and this one they just showed up last week 37 almost 38w. Such a bummer to make it that far. But they do fade eventually, it's not the horror they are right after baby:)

Different women they different amounts or even none at all. My mom never had any (and she had twins), but I got a TON in my first pregnancy, I think starting after 30 weeks. This time I've gotten a few more, but not nearly as much. The old ones had faded and were pretty much white (which made them super hard to see because I could probably be mistaken for a ghost), and the new ones are all red. It's just torn skin and it's really no big deal. I love mine because they're like my own personalized tiger claw mark tattoos. Granted, I did NOT like them at first, but I do like the faded look. They do look like white ink tattoos to me.
And yes, I know I'm crazy and probably alone in thinking this.

I'm 32 weeks and I just started getting new stretch marks. Last time around I didn't get any until right toward the end.

I got a stomach full of stretch marks during the last 3 weeks of my 1st pregnancy. Before then, I had maybe 3 total that were only 1/2 and inch long and I thought I was going to get lucky.... but nope! I got sooooo many within those last 3 weeks.

I just got them at 36 weeks but only on my boobs, weird! I was excited because I thought I was one of the lucky ones and I had been using coconut oil religiously.
