Front loader washing question

Still new to my front loaders and was washing cloth diapers today. I used a little more soap than I used to, but still about half as much as you would for a full load. Approx 1/4-1/3 cup? Didn't measure because I dropped the measuring cup behind the washer and I can't reach (dumb dumb dumb). I use HE detergent but for some reason my suds cycle came on today and my washer if filled with bubbles! WTH did I do wrong? And how is the best way to fix it? Rinse rinse rinse?

Re: Front loader washing question

  • Does your machine have a "tub clean" or "tub sanitize" cycle? If so, it would be best to run that to clear out all the suds. If your machine doesn't have one of those cycles, I've read that you can just run an empty cycle with no detergent so that all the leftover suds get rinsed out.

  • Loading the player...
  • Do I take my still super soapy stuff out first and do this? Or can I rinse my diapers a few times to get them clean and then wash?

  • Yeah... That's the cup behind the washer. Oops! But I'm well below the fill line on the soap spot on the machine.

  • Thanks. Maybe it was just to much, but I haven't had the problem before. Who knows. Thank you for the help!
