Our DD is here! (Long)

So our little girl arrived just hours after her due date early on the 22nd! Here is the story of her arrival:

On my due date I felt like the baby was moving less than her usual very active self. I was also having some Braxton hicks contractions but nothing regular or too intense. The OB had me come in for a NST and then checked me. NST was good and I was already dilated to 5 cm! Since I progressed from 3.5 cm last week and was positive for group b strep she told me to go over to the hospital. DH and I were both initially uncertain whether she meant for further monitoring or to be admitted but when we got to L&D (at 5pmish) they got us all settled into a labor room and we knew we were not leaving until she arrived though the nurse seemed to think it would take a while as I was not in active labor.

I got all checked in, the doctor there checked me and got me started with my IV and antibiotics. The nurse said to walk around to see if things would progress. No change after the hour so the OB stretched me to 6 cm to see if that would start things but also talked about breaking my water or pitocin if that didn't work. He told me to walk again for a half hour and I was struggling through contractions at the end of my walk. At the next check I was 8,cm and the docior said if I wanted tthe epidural I needed to do it now so I had that done and Shortly after was 9.5 cm and they broke my water. I was still feeling pain in spots at the peak of the contractions which surprised the anesthesiologist so the OB came to check me and said I was ready to push! About 45 min later our DD was born- just under 7 lbs and perfect! DH did great and I just cried and cried looking at her! She is so amazing! I am sore and the BFing is hard but we are doing well.
