Board books or paper books?

Does your LO go for one or the other, or both? DS loves his board books and will read the same one over and over, but the second he finds a paper book he tries to crumple or rip the pages. IT'S STILL A BOOK, DS!

Ok good, I'm glad we're not the only ones! He's such a bookworm that I'm always horrified to see him be rough with paper books. I guess it's too tempting!

Avery is rough on books so our bookshelf is almost all board books. DD#1 has paper books. She's 3 and is fine with them.

He likes both.  He's gotten pretty good at not ripping the paper books.

We do both now. She just recently started sitting for a paper book, before they were too long for her. She's obsessed with Go Do Go at the moment. She does like to sit and look through both kinds herself and I don't worry about her ripping them anymore.

I have only given DD board books because I don't want our nice paper ones getting ruined.  She gravitates toward board books anyway, so it works out great!
