  • Hoag hands down! I delivered there in September and now I don't want to deliver anywhere else. The nurses are all very nice, ocean view rooms and the food is good. They even feed your husband 1 meal per day and he can pick what meal and can order anything on the menu. I had a great experience!

  • Hoag definitely! Best experience ever. Will not deliver elsewhere.
  • I was born at Hoag 28 years ago, had my son there 2 years ago and my daughter there 2 months ago :) Hotel Hoag all the way!! If giving birth vaginally, the nurses do a darn good job making sure you don't tear. Highly recommended!
  • I delivered at Hoag and it was wonderful! The nurses were amazing.
I wanted to go med free and they went out of their way to help me through my contractions without drugs. I felt like they respected my wishes.

I delivered a huge baby vaginally with minimal tearing. They know what they're doing and they're great at it.
  • I highly recommend Hoag! The rooms are nice and spacious, food is actually decent for hospital food, and the nurses are super nice.
  • I delivered at St.Joespeh and I had the best experience from the nurses, anesthesiologist and the pedo Drs that come in and check on the baby. The rooms are nice and big very comfortable.

  • I will be delivering in April at St. Joseph's. So far I have loved everything about them. Went to L&D a month ago with pain and the nurses were amazing. Best nurses ever.
  • Thank you so much for your feedback!!! I have made my decision, I visited both hospitals and I really like that CHOC is right next to St. Josephs, since I have gestational diabetes and my pregnancy is considered high risk, my gut feeling is telling me to go to St. Joseph's plus is closer to home.
    Best of luck to everybody!
  • We had our little girl at HOAG in 2013 and loved it there.  The staff, the room, the experience was all very good.  Worth the extra money.  And you can't beat the view from the rooms!  Seeing the ocean while you are in labor is a nice plus and can really help you relax...at least a little bit ;)
