Movement??

Hi ladies, I'm about 19 weeks with twin girls! I had been feeling some twitches on & off and they have gotten stronger when I do feel them, but it's not often. I've been trying to remember when I started feeling DS moving around, but I can't remember 2 years ago! My doctor said 20 weeks was the norm and I guess I feel I'm close enough to that. I know placenta placement is part of it if it's anterior it muffles the movement a bit. I do know that one placenta is attached low , like at the bottom of the uterus and done is attached high, at the top(it would be easier if I could draw a picture)! Anyway, when did you notice more movement? Thanks!

  • I started feeling twitches around 18 weeks. Big movements came around 22 weeks. Don't worry, they will be beating you up before long. I love it, but sometimes I wish they would be still!

  • I noticed them at 13 weeks.
  • I felt baby B at 17w, just a couple flutters and kicks.  My husband was able to feel him about a week later.  But I agree with you, that placement has a lot to do with it.  I think at 20w I was feeling them both all the time.

  • I wasn't convinced what I felt was babies until about 22 weeks. Now it's undeniable and even wakes me up at night. :)

  • I didn't have consistent everyday feeling movement until almost 24 weeks. I felt a few twitches or jabs here or there starting around 16 weeks, but they were extremely sporadic and I would go days without feeling anything after.

  • I think placenta placement does have a lot to do with it as I always feel a lot from one and not much from the other, in yet on u/s the one I don't feel much moves the most! And as I watch him moving on the screen I can't feel it.
  • I felt consistent movement around 23/24 weeks, with some twitches around 17 weeks. I felt baby B a lot more than baby A, and sure enough baby B (Josie) in real life is always moving around and has a big personality and our baby A (Lexie) is so quiet and sweet!

Congrats on your twin girls!! I was intentional team green and ended up with fraternal girls and LOVE THEM!!!

  • I had an anterior placenta so I didn't feel definite movement until around 22-24w but it was still light. I do remember feeling some little flutters before then but was inot sure it was them (right around 19w). Not to long after that I started to get some really good kicks to my ribs. Baby A was more active then baby B which turned out to be a blessing because baby B had a knot in his cord.
Just like CaliCarly77 said their movement/personality on the inside is same as the outside, I have a really laid back boy and a little fiesty boy! Congrats and enjoy the pregnancy. I never thought I would say this but sometimes I miss being pregnant!
