I thought maybe we could start sharing craft ideas for our kidlets every week? I know my DD enjoys crafts and many times I get so wrapped up in every day life I forget to do something special with her.
This week we are going to try the pinecone bird feeder.
Wrap a pipe cleaner around the top half of a pinecone, leaving enough to hang the pinecone with later. Spread Crisco or peanut butter all over the pinecone with a butter knife. Sprinkle bird seed all over pinecone. And done.

This thread is a GREAT idea. I'm not super creative - and with the little one to take care of too, now, it's tough for me to get inspired to think up new fun crafts for DD1 to do.
She has had a lot of fun with foam or felt pre-cut pieces that have a sticky back. So it's just peel and stick - no glue, no mess! They sometimes have little kits for $1 to $2 at Target, usually something seasonal. Here's an owl one she made in the fall:
