Ugh - this is why I hate OB offices (in my area). I swear they are so lazy about stuff like this and it's irritating to me. So I'm 10w2d currently, and I called the office the day before yesterday to speak with the receptionnist about scheduling my NT scan and my bloodwork as well. This bloodwork thing is all new to me anyway because I couldn't get it when pregnant with the twins - well I could have, but my doc explained without amnio they wouldn't know which twin.
I explained to the receptionnist that I have two small children at home and work full time, so I really needed to get something on my calendar for both the b/w date and the NT scan, especially since I want DH to be there and he's only available certian days a week (I didn't tell her that). She acted really annoyed with me and said "your doctor will discuss scheduling with you next week at your OB appt." I'm like huh? at that point i'll be over 11 weeks. so they are going to have to fit me in within the next week to get decent results, and there's no way i can change my work schedule on the drop of a dime like that. i'm going to call and leave a msg for the nurse and explain my situation. hopefully she's a bit nicer. vent over! thanks for listening

I always get frustrated by how they assume your life just revolves around their schedules. Um, I work, have kids, etc. so no, I can't just come in when it's best for the doc or the tech, I need it to work into my schedule as well.
I'm glad calling the nurse worked, I find that works best for me too.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
