Just ordered breast pump!

After tons of research, I just ordered my breast pump. I used sun med, and they shipped it today (I am not due until June!). I could get Medela Advanced Personal Double for free with my insurance, but upgraded for $150 to the freestyle. I did a ton of research on both, have friends with both, and I am very excited (but nervous) about my decision.

Congrats! It's great to see so mant people on here taking advantage of the insurance coverage of breast pumps!

OP - I'm not quite sure how to respond to your post.  On one hand, congrats.  A few others have posted this lately, so congrats to you.

Why are you nervous for your decision?  You said you did research, you have friends with it... why nervous?

Not nervous about the pump, more nervous/anxious about pumping, whether it will work, etc. I have some immunological issues that my perinatologist say could manifest as an issue, but we won't know until we try. He recommended a lactation consultant he deals with often, and I will try my best. Thanks for asking.

Try not to worry until you have a reason to do so.  Easier said than done, I know.

I had no reason to expect having issues with pumping, but there ya go - it happens anyway.  You just deal with it as you come.  Try not to borrow trouble, and if you have to deal with it, you'll deal with it.  Contact the LC, and you should have good advice and a plan moving forward - should you need one.

The worst thing is when you have your pjs on but then have to change out of them into more uncomfortable clothing to go do something. It's like, was it even worth it?

pjs are so overrated...naked sleep is the best kind, duh! OP check out Kelly mom for a breastfeeding resource. Also its not necessary to start your own thread for this when there was another posted yesterday that was almost exactly the same.

I have been on kellymom, thanks for the advice, it is a great resource.
