There are plenty of studies that show people carrying concealed weapons do not actually stop violent crime.  But you know what does - gun control.

I don't think you know what you're talking about! Schools are supposed to be gun-free zones, shootings happen there anyway. There was a shooting at a navy yard last year and it was a GUN FREE ZONE. The only people that gun-free zones protect are the armed criminals. Do you really think an armed criminal is going to follow gun laws? Please post a link or anything at all that supports your comment, I would love to see what you're talking about.

I think it's a great idea. having someone with 80 hours of training and a background check keeping my kids safe would help me sleep at night. I also think that people would be less likely to go shoot up a school if they knew there would be resistances.
Times are changing, we have to change with them.
