Since my DH and I decided to stop trying I haven't been checking the boards as frequently.  If anyone else would like to take over the check-in please let me know.  I have no issues doing it, I just need to remember to come in on Tuesdays and update the info.

Hello everyone!

I triggered today with one follie at 20mm. Iui is tomorrow morning, and since I've had some spotting issues this cycle they're having me take progesterone after.

QOTW- it's a tie between melting pot and a local sushi place called haiku.

So here's my question: (BFP/ m/c ment)

I know it only takes one to do the job, and that I only had one when I got my BFP (m/c at 8 weeks), but I'm disappointed that I'm on 10mg of letrozole and am only getting one. So my question is, if this cycle doesn't work, should I move to injects+iui to try and get more follies? We're paying for the iuis OOP, so I'd like to make the most of each try. TIA!

Also, I can do the check ins if no one else wants to.

Hey!

I was supposed to have been going for my first follicle scan tomorrow for my first IUI ... but I got benched after my CD3 blood work. My TSH levels were too high and so they've benched me until I have repeat blood work done on February 27th. I'm now on 125mcg of Synthroid (I was on 100mcg). I hate that the 27th falls in the middle of my NEXT cycle, so I'll be benched for 2 cycles Since I work in a lab, I might be sneaky and do my own TSH before the start of my next period, hope it's improved, and if it is try to convince them to let me attempt the IUI next cycle! 

QOTW: That's kinda hard! I'd say The Mandarin. It's a buffet Chinese Food restaurant

7dpiui today and hoping I can hold off from testing until Monday. I'll need to keep myself busy this weekend. I'm still feeling optimistic.

There's a local trendy Italian restaurant downtown that I really love but it's definitely a special occasion restaurant!

@jessimi06 I'd want more than 1 follie too. Wouldn't hurt to ask about injects and see what your Dr says about that vs IVF.

Hi all - sorry that I have been MIA - we just got back to the US from a wedding and hit the ground running today with trying to close on a new house and snow delays, etc, etc, etc.  Luckily - we were able to start meds/injects prior to leaving (I was SOOO nervous to travel with injects - I had my script with me plus a picture of it - I guarded those injects more than my passport - sad, I know.)  We were supposed to be benched until Feb due to travel - but lovely AF showed WAY early and we were able to squeeze in this IUI (no change in meds or protocol - isn't that the definition of insanity?  Doing the same thing over and over expecting different results?  - DH said it's like shooting a 3 pointer.  You do it twice and miss but you make it the third time with no change in position or shooting).  

Soooo....CD 12 is tomorrow and going in for u/s and b/w bright and early.  I have no clue how the follies are looking - last u/s was CD3.  That translates to = I have no clue when IUI #3 will be and no clue about subsequent Beta Day.  I just wanted to jump in since I had a **4** before my name! 

QOTW - I also love Capital Grill - can't go wrong - but there is a little place called Ivarones in Tampa which has my heart - since moving up north - I crave their salads.  It's like crack.  If any of you are near the Tampa area - you MUST try it.  I also love the 1905 salad from Columbia (which you can make at home - recipe is online).  But - for a random night - I love love love hole in the wall Mexican restaurants.  - this is making me hungry.  

Thank you to all for your continued support.  I really missed this board while I had no access to the internet for the past week.  Congrats to all you BFPs and many many hugs to the ladies that need them.

I am on day 3 of Follistim at 75mg. Had my ultrasound this morning. I was told I had 4 small follicles biggest one was only 10mm.  Nurse has me on one more day of Follistim 75mg tomorrow and then hopefully trigger Friday.

3. Test/Beta day?

IUI #3 was Saturday - testing out my trigger so I can test Jan 30th before we go to our IVF consult. I started progesterone Monday night. That's about it. I'm just not enthusiastic about this cycle at all and I'm ready to talk IVF and get the show on the road.

I had my IUI this afternoon.  This will be my second one.  I had 4 follicles (injections and ovidrel).  The first one I didn't think worked (I had one follicle) but it did and I had a miscarriage (long complicated story).  I am officially in my 2WW.  My test day will be Wed 2/5.  I go back next week for a level check and an ovary check (make sure I am not overstimulated). 

I had terrible cramps this morning, the doctor said that is because I was ovulating.  I am trying to stay positive.

My favorite restaurant - PF Changs.

6dpiui and just biding my time in the TWW. I generally don't go crazy in the TWW until about 10 days, so I have a few more days of insanity. Not feeling optimistic about this cycle since I only had one follie at 21mm, vs 2 last time, but it was bigger then my lead of 18mm last time...so I don't know if that is good or bad. DH's count was also 1/2 of last time but still decent at 19 million. Progesterone levels we high enough that I didn't need progesterone supplements, so that was good news! Favorite restaurant...Thai kitchen, this local spot is in my hometown, which I live over an hour from and my family doesn't live there anymore so I have no reason to truck up there..the Thai places near me just don't compare,

Good luck, ladies!! Please remove me from the 2ww list. IUI #4.1 was officially a bust last week. We have finally decided on our new RE and are moving onto IVF #3! It's going to be a slow go (Long Lupron protocol, ER at the end of February). Hopefully we'll get a blast to freeze and do a FET in March or April. I'll be lurking in on you girls and wishing for the best with your IUIs!!

I trigger tomorrow night and IUI #2 is scheduled for Saturday cd14. I did 5mg of Letrazole cd4-8 this cycle and at u/s on cd10 I had 3 follies.

One of my favorite restaurants is Bahamas Breeze! My DH works for Darden so we get a discount which is awesome.

Hi ladies! I am 9dpiui and starting to get nervous. Really have had no symptoms, even on the prometrium. Beta is Monday. Not sure if I'll test first or not. Going to be a long weekend. Not having symptoms doesn't mean anything, right?? Sending everyone good thoughts!

Had my baseline appt for IUI 3.1 today. We are keeping the same dosage as last time. Hoping to get two pretty follies again!! Scan on Tuesday.

Can I be added please?

1. We are doing our IUI tomorrow afternoon, triggered this morning.

2. We are on IUI #1, 50mg clomid days 3-7.

3. Test/beta day is going to be February 6th, which would be 14dpiui. Does that mean I'll make it that far? Highly doubtful

QOW: Our favorite restaurant is for sure Red Lobster. We actually have a gift card to there and will be going for a relaxing lunch after our IUI tomorrow.

QOW:  What is your favorite restaurant? I'm definitely a foodie, so this is a hard choice!  Possibly "Blossom" or "Gobo" in NYC.  Both amazingly delicious.  More recently, though, I'm in love with "The Grange" in Providence, RI.

On IUI #4 with a high dose of Bravelle/Gonal-F and will trigger tomorrow for a Saturday IUI. After 7 days of injects we have follies of 18, 16, and 13. I'm disappointed that even with an increase to 187ml, the follies still did not get big. If this cycle does not work, I may ask RE to reduce the dose since the results are not much different but the cost is much higher.

I'm 25 and have pcos (I don't ovulate at all on my own) and DH is 27 with MFI (1% morph, count/motility is ok). The interesting part is that my insurance will cover 50% of fertility meds that aren't generics and generics are $7, just not the iuis. I was thinking it'd be better to pair injects with IVF, but with DH getting laid off in November, it's really not an option until he finds something.

What's your dx?   Generally speaking injects will give you more follies but super-O + IUI isn't advised for everyone.   If you are older, have egg quality issues, MFI etc they might let you.  Otherwise the risk of multiples might be too high (IVF could be a better option).    Besides the meds are CRAZY expensive OOP!

Now I'm just waiting on the office to call with my E2 level and to see if I will have another US on Saturday (CD10) before hopefully triggering that night. Possible IUI on Monday if all goes well! 2. Which IUI are you on? Currently on IUI #6 3. Test/Beta day? If my IUI is Monday then I will test on 2/10. I don't get a beta unless I get a BPF. My favorite restaurant currently is Bonefish! I love Bang Bang shrimp!

Hey all!  Still benched, feeling pissy and negative about it all.  I realized that due to PTO restrictions at work we cannot start treatments back until May which means I will have been on the bench for 9 months!!!! WTH!!!  Anyway, that means unless a miracle happens in the next month or so I can kiss having a baby in 2014 good bye.  Sorry i'm so negative lol.  Anyway, still trying to get the hang of temping and charting now that I am O'ing on my own.  I seem to not O until around CD 18 or so and right now I am CD15.  Oh well, at least I can cheer all of you on.

We have found a lot of local places that we just love love love! (part of the reason i'm not losing much weight right now) My ultimate favorite is Mia Francescas, it is a really yummy Italian place.  It makes Olive Garden look like fast food.  They have one here in Raleigh, but most of them are in and around Chicago.  There is also a place called Tribeca Tavern that is to die for!!  Best burgers in town!!

Hi everyone I hope that you're doing well. I went yesterday for my cycle day three blood work and ultrasound and I got the clear to go ahead and start my clomid pills for IUI # 3 I'm so happy to be off the bench again.If you could please update me to being currently in a IUI#3 cycle I'd appreciate it thank you. I also wanted to say Good luck to everyone who is either just starting a treatment cycle or currently in the dreaded 2ww and I don't want to forget to send Good Luck to anyone who might still be benched from a treatment cycle I hope that you get to start your treatment cycle soon. Hey Ladies.  Well hate to update with this info but I'm benched for this cycle.  AF FINALLY came and my CD 3 u/s revealed a lovely 3cm cyst.  UGH!!  I can't freakin win!  This will be the 2nd cycle in a row canceled.  Still waiting to do IUI #1.  Waiting to hear back from our nurse to see what the estrogen level was.  Here hoping it doesn't keep me benched to long

We just finished the 3rd which didn't work. So now we have to wait until the 13th when we can see the doctor for next step appointment. We were told probably injectibles. We can't do IVF because although we live in NJ, we both work in PA where insurers are not required to cover it. I am a bit frustrated that we can not see the dr til then and need to wait out a cycle. But the front desk seems to give us the run around whenever we want an evening appointment. It's just frustrating because my much younger sister in law is pregnant, plus two of my friends, and we were married before all three of them.  And most of our issue is male so I'm just frustrated because it seems like our families think it's all me and I want to shout your son has lazy sperm!

Favorite restaurant? Anything that isn't a chain. El Vez in Philly is pretty much my favorite place though.

DH: 37, mildly low motility
TTC since 1/2012 but not actively. Actively trying since 9/12.

Was just thinking how I didn't see the check-in this week...and here it is!!

Ugh...I am on CD16 and as of yesterday I had ZERO follies to speak for.  I did 5mg of Femara CD2-6 and didn't respond.  After my 2nd visit, RE put me on a steroid/clomid combo and the next 7 days and I'll be going back on Friday to see how things are progressing.

Go figure, I finally decided to be calm, collected and relaxed from here on out, I get this curve ball thrown my way. :P

Here's hoping we can save this cycle!!!

QOTW -- I LOVE SO MANY!!! lol  DH and I love going out to eat, although with trying to eat better its not been the best option.  We like Outback, PF Changs, Longhorne...our favorite is probably a placed called Miller's Ale House -- a new chain in the area!

So I am testing at home on Monday. Eek! Trying not to think about it. A few others with BFPs this month are giving me hope but trying not to get TOO hopeful...

QOTW: DH and I love to go to Cracker Barrel every Sunday (I know, old fuddiduddies lol) but my favorite restaurant is a local place called Phil Sandoval's. Serves majorly yummy Mexican food and you get a free scoop of homemade ice cream after your meal.

I just found out this morning that my first IUI was a bust. Bummer!

So tomorrow I will call my dr. and see about IUI #2. I don't know if the timing will work though as my natural ovulation day would be on a weekend we are scheduled to be out of town, so we might have to take a break in Feb. 

Favorite restaurant is is an Italian restaurant in Minneapolis. They have a dog friendly patio in the warmer months, and great wine specials too, so it is a great place for dh and I to unwind on weekend evenings.

My IUI #6 is tomorrow! I've been on Follistim 75u (CD3-10) then triggered with Pregnyl last night. I was feeling like I was just going through the motions but today I got a bit of hope. My DHs testosterone level over doubled and his E2 dropped by over half!! I'm so excited that maybe that means we will have a good SA tomorrow! And hopefully not another big snow storm that screws things up like 2 cycles ago! I am also doing a trigger booster shot of 2500 HCG at 4dpo. Until 2/11 when I test, I'll be praying, praying, praying!

IUI #2 for me on Friday Jan 31! So Beta/2ww ends on February 14th. I'm really nervous about it, a Dr I've never met will be doing it. 

My fave restaurant, probably Montgomery Inn (a local place). I love chick fil a too!

Hey everyone!

  Today is CD 3 and that means I started femara again! Hope I have good luck with this again....  I go on the 4th for my CD 10 check. But hope for a lot more mature folicles!!! This will be my second try at IUI. My DR said we should be able to get pregnant in no more than 3 or 4 rounds.... But that is if my adenomyosis or pcos acts up... Will check back in on the 4th! Hope it all goes smoothly! Good luck to everyone!
