Holy 28mm follicle batman!

Went in for my CD14 ultrasound and trigger this morning. My right ovary had a 28mm and a 9mm, and my left had an 11mm. The nurse said probably only the 28 will ovulate, which I assumed. Lining looked good.

Has anyone ever had that big of a follicle before? I had to google it because I don't think I've ever heard of it on these boards! Lol

IUI tomorrow morning. Nervous ad excited. I know it only takes one, but I was hoping for more. /:

    Wow, it took a long time for me to just get a 18mm one!

    09/2012: Start TTC after stopping NuvaRing.  No cycles seemed to occur.
    01/2013 - 05/2013: Tried Provera to "jumpstart" cycles. No luck.
    12/2013-     01/2014: Clomid 50mg - no big follies, stepped to 100mg; One mature follie, Ovidrel (HCG trigger), IUI #1 completed - BFN
    02/2014: Clomid 100mg;     One mature follie, Ovidrel trigger, IUI #2 completed, Crinone - BFN

    11/2014: "Break" - Letrozole 5mg to cycle before prepping for IVF - successfully O'ed, but BFN
    12/2014: Extending 'break' one more Letrozole-only TI cycle for mental health break - BFN
    01/2015-    02/2015: Prep for IVF - BCP then Gonal-F, Ganirelex, Novarel trigger;  ER scheduled 2/11!

    And this was just on 50mg clomid, CD 3-7. Last time I did 50mg clomid I think I had the biggest at 22.

    My first IUI I had one that was somewhere right around that big...don't remember if it was 27mm or 29mm.  I'll have to look back in my blog to see the size since that was now two years ago.  I'll say that I also had a 19mm to on the other ovary as well (I was also only on 50mg of clomid for five days since I ovulate on my own).  Someone on this board told me it was "too big" however my RE never said anything of the sort.  But wanted you to know that yes it does happen so you're not too weird.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD.

    IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)

    LOL - I just looked.  The title of my blog post was "Holy Egg Follicles Batman!"  - clearly great minds think alike when in this situation.  And ouch, that was three years ago - not two.

    TTC since July 2009. Dx MFI & LPD.

    This cycle I had a 39mm, waiting for my beta results today. I also had a 19mm. I was on 100mg of Clomid, don't think I'll do that again. RE had no concerns, but I never heard of anything like that before! Hope it's 28's your lucky number :)

    I did 100mg of Clomid this cycle and I had one that was 28 and one that was 31!!! My other two were 15. I'll be able to POAS on Tuesday, I'm dying right now to see if either one were my golden eggs :)

    TTC #1 since Aug. 2010

    OB/GYN: DH SA (Sept. 2011): Normal -- Round 1 (11/27/11): 50mg Clomid = BFN -- Round 2 (12/27/11): 50mg Clomid = BFN

    Hormone specialist: CD 21 b/w (May 2012): Normal -- Thyroid: slightly low

    RE: CD 2 b/w (Oct 2012): Normal -- HSG (Oct 2012) - normal (for the most part), Retroverted/Retroflexed Uterus. Otherwise normal shape and no tubal blockages.
    **Unexplained Infertility**

    Second opinion (12/16/13):
    DH: Excellent SA
    Me: Slightly elevated AMH, slightly low FSH, low thyroid, extremely low DHEA,
    Jan 2, 2014: Clomid cycle (100mg), 2 great follies at 28mm and 31mm (no cysts so far), great lining and fantastic timing = BFN
    Jan 30, 2014: Clomid cycle (100mg) + .5mg Dexamethason + 81mg Aspirin = BFN

    2015
    Testosterone level was 20. Estradiol & Progesterone also low. Hormone pellets for 1 year + Progesterone. Numbers looked great while on pellets. After pellets, Testosterone down to 5! Taking a break from all the bloodwork & hormones.

    2016
    Looking at possible Th1 & Th2 elevations. Requesting laparoscopy.
    Currently taking Pregnitude, "Female Balance" herbs, DHEA.

    Oh wow I'm not alone! And katib77 we must have great minds ;) I sure hope my huge follicle will make me a huge baby lol

    ~SAIF/PAIF/Everyone Welcome~ 

    Me= 37 and DH = 41 

    Dx: DOR, Endo, APA+ (really high beta 2 glycoprotein antibody and high everything else tested), heterozygous MTHFR mutation, positive for lupus anticoagulant, high FSH, low AMH and both tubes blocked (per HSG on 3/8/11)

    IVF #1 - long lupron (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 4 retrieved, 3 fertilized; ET 2 blasts and 1 frozen = BFN

    IVF #2 - a version of antagonist with EPP (with HGH, intralipids, lovenox and BA); 6 retrieved, 4 mature, 3 fertilized, 2 blasts and 1 frozen blast transferred on day 5 = BFN.

    IVF #3 April was postponed to May, May was canceled. June/July was canceled. Had a cyst aspiration and then began IVF #3 in August. ER on 8/22; ET on 8/24 with AH. +HPT on 9/5. Beta #1 (11dpo) = 3; Beta #2 (15dpo) = 29; Beta #3 (17dpo) = 60; Beta #4 (19 dpo) = 118. Heartbeat at 6 weeks 6 days =132.  Lil is here!

    TTC#2:  Trigger + TI = BFN; Clomid + Trigger + IUI = BFN.

    IVF #4:  BCP + MDLF + Lovenox = 7R, 1F = Transferred 1 6-cell embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #5:  MDLF + Lovenox = 4R, 1F = Transferred 1 10-cell compacting embryo on day 3 = BFN

    IVF #6:  (New RE):  Long Antagonist November 2014 (transferred two 8 cell grade 1 embryos and froze one blast) = BFN

    FET#1:  BFN
