I don't let Dagny play with mine much but there are a bunch of free Fisher Price ones. And a music one called Storybots. She loves Doodle Buddy which is drawing. There are also some good Disney ones.

I have the Fisher Price ones on my phone. I'll look at the others. Thanks!

There is one that my son likes called Sorting 3. Only the first 3 levels are free. He can only do level 1 by himself which baffles me since this is a 3+ app. He loves it.
I second the pbs kids app. Mine loves it even if he only listens to the opening songs of each show and he can control himself without much help from me. We also have one called circle mania that is kind of fun. It's a normal game, not for kids, and I play it also. The fisher price are slightly different on the ipad than the phone. Peekaboo Barn is also a favorite. That is the only one I paid for.
I'm in the "I don't see anything wrong with a little ipad time as long as it is not all the time and our only source of entertainment" camp.
Same here. Most days, he doesn't touch an electronic, but he's learned a lot of animals and letters with the apps we have on the other tablet and our phones.

That's exactly why we're going iPad instead of the other tablets. We have a Verizon one, but he's obsessed with the home button and it doesn't have a guided access like feature. He gets mad and ends up wanting our phones. ha
