I know last week we mentioned whether or not you and your SO had each other's passwords to social media and other things. Just wondering how much you plan to regulate your child's internet use and know their passwords? Or if you have an older child, what do you already do?
Re: kids & the internet
We plan to monitor when time comes.
I'm sure there will be new things in place to help monitor this stuff. Bottom line, I plan on being all up in their business (to the extent I can) when it comes to the internet whether they like it or not.
This was brought to you by the crazy things that students were tweeting AT the school's Twitter page today. Middle school students were tweeting swears at the superintendent.
I agree I have no idea what will be out there when DD gets older - there will probably be more monitoring software and hopefully I can keep up with the times. I also wonder how much my kid would be able to hide from me if they wanted to (knowing I certainly hid things from my parents.) I really hope to instill the idea of being smart about what you put on the internet, but it makes me nervous what kids think is ok to put out there.
