I had my 20 week prenatal appointment with my midwife today and she said I have to get another ultrasound done at around 28 weeks because my placenta was off by a couple centimeters and if it doesn't go down then I may have to get a c-section (which i really want to avoid)...Other then that the appointment went very well AND it was the first one that my boyfriend came to!
First. My cervical length is great. The doctor was very very happy with that. I have to continue to monitor the amount of pressure and contractions I have, but with the length of my cervix they are not concerned this baby will be here too soon. So I am so relieved!
Our scan went great. We have an incredibly active child, which I knew. H decided that he wanted to find out and I went with it. Really, in one of the shots I could see so I already knew by the time the tech asked us if we wanted to know. We are offically Team Blue! H was convinced baby was a girl the look of shock was priceless!
As far as the tech could tell... HEALTHY BABY! We had a wonderfully chatty tech who was so willing to show me every little detail of our little one. She was wonderful! It needs to be reviewed by a radiologist, but she said everything seemed fine to her.
We're team yellow with our friends and family - doing our best to just tell them we're not finding out - but I have no problem telling all you bumpies... we are (likely) having a girl! The tech was very clear to remind us that it's not 100%, and it's not uncommon for girls to come out as boys.

Many many thoughts and prayers for you, @SNLT1012. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, hoping for clear answers, and ending up with less than satisfactory ones. Keep us posting on any more updates. We're always here for you!

Scan went well today. Tech respected our decision for team green! Obviously she couldn't say anything even if it was wrong but didn't get any negative vibes. LO was a bit stubborn and wanted to stay curled up and face down but we got all the needed shots!
@SNLT1012 my heart goes out to you. My sister had low fluid, but went on to have a healthy baby. Prayers and positive thoughts everything will be fine in the end.

@Snlt1012 So sorry to hear that. I will be keeping you and baby in my thoughts!
I think my a/s went well. The tech was pretty tight lipped and I don't have my follow up until 2/5. I hope that if there is something abnormal my doctor will contact me beforehand. The baby wasn't in the best position for a profile shot but she did get all the measurements and screen shots she needed. We also were able to get the money shot and I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be having a little boy. So excited!!
@SNLT1012 I am sorry to hear about your appointment. I hope you are able to get some more concrete answers soon, and that it turns out everything is ok with your little girl.
Re: Wednesday Anatomy Scans and Appointments
