Baby's Estimated Size

When i had my last sonogram my baby was being estimated that she would weight between 7 or 8 pounds.

What were your estimates? Were they accurate?

DD was estimated to be around 8 lbs., she was 7 lbs. 4 oz. while DD was estimated to be around 6 and he was 9 lbs. 1 oz. both scans done right around 36-37 weeks. This time they tell me around 8 again... I put absolutely no stock in these estimates whatsoever.

They are notoriously off so don't take too much stock in the sizing ultrasounds. They were a whole pound off with my first.

They said 8-9 for DS1. He was 8lbs 14 oz born at 39 wks. They think DS2 will be similar.

This. My OB would always put that disclaimer out when doing a growth scan. DD was nearly 2lbs smaller than her estimate, my twins were 1/2lb smaller than theirs.

My first ds was est at 6-7 lbs, he was a solid 10 lbs. My first dd was est between 7-8 lbs and she was 7lbs 11oz, my second dd was est 5 lbs and she was about that.

DD's estimate : 7 lbs -- she was 5lb. 11oz

DS estimate-- 8lbs : he was 7 lbs 9oz

I was told it could go 2 lbs in either direction.

Mine was two pounds off. She was estimated at 6 lbs. She weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz

They told me DS was measuring "small" since my 20 week scan. Then at my 40 week u/so they swore he would most likely not be any bigger than 6 lbs.... well he was 7 lbs 4 oz...

I was told between 10.5 and 11.7, mine was born the next week at 39 weeks 4 days 10.13 lbs

Lurking.  36 wk u/s estimated a 10 pounder.  DS ended up being 8.1 at 40.5 wks.
