  • 23 weeks and 5 days…two more days until V-day!!!!  No new appointments, but we had our "baby moon" in Hawaii last week!  It was great, but boats and pregnancy do not mix and I got really sick!  I am working on registry stuff this week which is super fun.  The first few months I was so worried I couldn't think about nursery or baby stuff but now I am getting excited.  I LOVE feeling her kick (which is getting really frequent) I do not love the heartburn at all but overall I've been feeling good!

15w1!  I feel good but it's been 2w since my NT scan (about 2w to go until A/S) and I'm starting to get a little anxious that the baby's not OK in there.  I hate you PGAL brain.

Oh, and my EDD should be 7/13/14.

QOTW: Best: Naps!  I nap like a boss.  Worst: Nerves.

  • Hi ladies!
Still on bed rest, I have started to try to learn how to knit this week.  Bed rest continues until 34 weeks.  I have my weekly cervical length tomorrow..pretty much the only time I leave the house :) Still taking my procardia every 4 hrs, but only a couple contractions a day..so I'll take it.  I got the stomach flu on Thursday and had to go to the ER bc I was contracting due to dehydration and unable to keep my meds down...babies are doing great, and I'm feeling better.

QOTW: Best part is feeling them kick (even when they keep me awake in the middle of the night), worst part is this whole shortened cervix and preterm labor business..just keep holding my breath, hoping that I make it through each day without delivering.

  • Hi ladies!

    We are team green btw!

25 weeks 5 days today. Had my glucose test yesterday - blech! My next appointment is tomorrow. I feel like it's been forever! No major updates yet.

Best things - kicks!!, watching my belly grow, getting to experience this miracle again, watching dd (and dh!) kiss my belly and talk to the baby.

Worst - worrying, feeling nervous, nausea, heartburn, lack of energy and concentration. I feel like such a dummy sometimes! Feelings of sadness that I may never experience the joys of pregnancy again.

  • Can I be added? 14w today, EDD 7/22, team blue!

I had some minor spotting last week so my doctor did another ultrasound and everything was luckily fine. Even better was they had my MaterniT21 results and baby is a healthy boy! We are so happy. We finally made our announcement after that, and it has been great hearing everyone's excitement for us. It feels more real to me. No appts scheduled until 15.5 weeks so hopefully all is fine.

My least favorite thing is the nausea (which is still ongoing). I know it could be a lot worse but I am ready for it to be gone. Favorite so far would be the excitement that it finally worked! I am also looking forward to feeling baby move, but I have an anterior placenta so it may be a while.

  • Hey girls! No real updates, just waiting for our anatomy scans on the 4th! I've been feeling much, much better and have been taking advantage of this and organizing the house. Sadly, that's fun to me lol.

The worst part so far was being so sick for so long. The best part so far is only being mildly sick and feeling normal and good again! I have finally started glowing haha! I can't wait to feel the girls much though, ah so exciting.

  • @almostwright I have anterior placenta too and the first time I felt a definite kick was at 21 weeks. You might feel it earlier but that was my experience! They got more constant around 23 weeks.

Hi, all.  This is my first check-in.  I was eligible last week but got too busy!  I'm 14w5d today; EDD July 18, 2014.

I'm just waiting until my next OB appointment in early February.  That's the worst part of this pregnancy for me -- IF brain making me wonder if the baby is still alive every time I've gone a week or two without seeing him/her on u/s.  (I tried a doppler but it doesn't work well for me -- not sure if that's because I got the wrong kind -- 2mhz instead of 3 -- or because I have an anterior placenta or something like that.)  I *can't wait* until I can feel movement.

The best part:  I feel generally really great.  I'm one of the lucky ones who almost feels better pregnant than non-pregnant (save a couple of weeks of fatigue in first tri).  Though I'm sure this will change when once I'm getting a bit more huge.  ;)
  • @monimu13 - Bed rest sounds like no fun.  But I am glad you are taking it day by day. That sucks that you got the flu, especially since you are stuck at home- where did the germs come from???

Our anatomy scan last week revealed we are having a healthy baby boy!  He was measuring about 6 days ahead but the doctor said that is normal.  It was such a relief to see everything looking good in there.  I am finally over about 80% of my PAIF/PGAL brain and I'm ready to plan and shop!  Picking out a name is going to be really hard though. I had a long list of girl options but not much for a boy.

We go back for another ultrasound in 4 weeks.  I guess I will be monitored a little more closely than the average woman because of IVF (see my other post) but everything looks good so far and I don't mind!

Worst part: PAIF/PGAL brain which has been replaced by insomnia.  Best part: This is actually happening!!!

  • Hi ladies! May I join this check in?? I am 14 weeks today, with a singleton, due July 23. So far we don't know the baby's gender yet, but we should find out soon!

QOTW - So far, my pregnancy has gone very smoothly. we are so blessed to have tons of support from my family and my in-laws! My least favorite part has been the distance between doctors visits now that I'm with a real OB. I wish I could have stayed with my RE's office and gotten ultrasounds every 10 days ;)
  • Hi there! Hope everyone is doing well!

@monimu13 ~ So sorry to hear that you're on bed rest. Sounds like a great time to learn how to knit. :) Glad to hear you're feeling better from the flu.

I had an OB appointment last week where everything went great, except they told me I need to gain more weight so I've been trying to eat a little more even when I'm not hungry. Other than that I'm counting down the days until my anatomy scan next week - so excited, yet scared at the same time! Really hoping baby looks healthy.

QOTW: Least favorite part has been all of the abdominal cramps that I've had - they started when I became pregnant and have continued to this day, they've been pretty uncomfortable at times. I'm thinking they're going to stick around my entire pregnancy. On the bright side my OB says they're nothing to worry about. My favorite part has been looking at all of the cute baby clothes which I'm so excited to be able to dress my own baby in - feels like a dream that this is finally happening! :)

  • Hi guys! Had my growth scan and heart check on the baby today but I have to wait up to 2 days for the DR told call me. I hate that. The baby was sleeping with his legs up near his face and would not cooperate to give us pictures lol I swear my little man is so stubborn. The really cool thing was I saw him kick on the screen and felt it at the same time! It was such a great moment.

QOTW: I love feeling him move and kick. I also love how my H cuddles and kisses my belly.
I hate that I still fight morning sickness.
  • hi ladies!  18wks today!!  We have our a/s Jan. 24th (only 2 more days!!), and are really excited to find out how the babies are growing.  I can't wait to feel them move - hopefully soon!

My favorite part about being pregnant is how happy DH is, especially since we found out that one of the babies is a boy!  It's also been really fun to see the expression on our family and friends' faces when they find out we're having twins!!  My least favorite part is the lack of sleep.  I don't think I've slept an entire night all the way through in months - I just can't seem to get comfortable!  And if I do get comfortable, then I have to get up and pee, and it takes forever to get comfortable again - vicious cycle of up to pee several times a night, and then tossing and turning to get comfortable...

  • 21weeks. No updates.

Best part watching my belly grow and feeling her kick. Still could do without the morning sickness.
  • Almost 19 weeks this week, and our anatomy ultrasound went very well last week!  We're still team Green - which people think is crazy!  We just want healthy babies, it doesn't really matter male or female :)  Baby A measured 18wk 1 day, Baby B measured 17wk 6 days (at 18.0 weeks!).  So far so good!  The next milestone that I'm looking forward to is 20 weeks!

Best part has been how excited my family and DH's family have been over the new additions!
Worst has been the nausea and vomiting, as well as the SCH scare.  Otherwise not much to complain about!

  • 14w5d and feeling great!! I'm enjoying the honeymoon phase of the 2nd tri! Went shopping for maternity clothes today with my mom which was fun and still so surreal!

QOTD: Besides for actually being pregnant, some of my favorite things are... being laid back about my eating and letting myself indulge a bit, the fact that my bump finally looks like a pregnancy bump and no longer in the category of "Is she pregnant or has she just gained some lbs?" And most of all, seeing the daily excitement of my mom who is so happy for us and so excited to have her first local grandchildren.

Worst is being woken up 10 times a night to pee!!

  • UPDATE:  we had out a/s today (it was supposed to be tomorrow, but the doc office called yesterday to see if we could bump up a day, due to a scheduling problem in their office).  So, we got to see our babies a day earlier than planned!  Everything checked out great, which is a huge relief.  Baby A (girl) is 7oz and measured at 17wk4d (I'm 18wk1d today), and Baby B (boy) is 10oz and measured at 18wk6d, so there's a little bit of a size disparity.  Since they are di/di twins, the doc wasn't worried about the size difference, since both are within a week of actual, but it's something they'll monitor in case Baby A starts to trail behind in size.  They weren't able to get all the pics they needed, so they have a list of things to look for at our next appointment in 4 weeks, to fully complete the a/s.  We got our AFP test results back, and everything was normal.  Between the two babies, we only had 1 soft tissue marker for down syndrome, so the doc didn't think there were any issues from that standpoint either.  All in all, happy day!!  I felt bad for Baby A though - it looked like Baby B was kicking her head the entire u/s!  I guess she'll just need to roll over and kick him back ;o)

I guess I can join here now! EDD is 7/23/14 and I am 14w1d today with one bean! Things are going pretty well. NT scan last week and everything was perfect! symptoms are starting to slowly get better. Our next OB appt. is Feb. 4th and my OB wont' do the gender scan until 18w! 4 more weeks!

QOTW: Favorite part is probably all of the support from family, friends, co-workers and just knowing I am making a human. Worst part: I really can't complain about the symptoms. I do feel pretty useless at times due to really low energy levels. I haven't done house work in who knows how long!

  • Hello girls!

@phillyj33 You can add me as Team Green. Thank you!

16 weeks this week and feeling pretty good. Fav part of pregnancy is just being able to experience everything again. I forgot what it was truly like last time. Worst favorite part: it's easy to take care of an inside baby. Having a toddler too adds a whole new dimension.

So excited for everyone's anatomy scans that are coming!

  • 26 weeks, 5 days today! Can't believe I'm starting the third tri already. It's going so fast! Found out I passed the 3-hr glucose tolerance test, which was a big relief.

Definitely love the growing bump and constant kicks. And I had really been struggling with depression and a sense of feeling incomplete before this LO, and I am so thankful. Worst is the sleeping situation, which I'm sure will only be getting worse over the next three months!

    Me: 42. DH: 46.

  • Hi ladies,

I am in my 26th week.  Looking forward to moving to 3rd tri soon, I feel like the 2nd trimester lasts forever!

No major updates, I have a growth scan on the 29th, and I need to fit in my 1 hour glucose test sometime.

QOTW:   My favorite part of pregnancy is the outcome.  I really don't enjoy pregnancy.  I could list so many things about my least favorite parts of pregnancy but the list is super long and I don't want to seem whiny!!

  • Sorry this is late. I turned 16 weeks on Sat. And am starting to really show :) i started a prenatal yoga class last Wednesday and it went well. I've been trying to sleep on my left side to train myself and its been tough since I end up on my back at some point.
My next OB appt will be in two weeks and we will also find out the gender around that time..so DH and I are super excited.
Qotw: best part is feeling everyone's love for this baby...it's been really nice to have all this support. I think I've been feeling the baby but I'm not sure since i only feel occasional flutters/bubbles..can't wait to feel it for real and know for sure that it's a kick :)
