Yellow duck bath

I think a couple of moms on here have the inflatable yellow duck bath. I'm wondering how you and your LO like it? DD hates the bath right now so I'm wondering if a change in scenery might help. It would also me nice if I didn't need to worry about her banging her head on the plastic tub as she flails in her bath time anger.

Re: Yellow duck bath

  • I've used it for both kids and they both love/loved it! If I'm bathing both kids at the same time though, ill just use the bath sling in the tub (just for washing his hair) bc the tub's not big enough for the duck tub and a toddler ;)

  • My LO likes this tub! We've been using it since Christmas and it's big enough for him and some toys.

  • J loves his new duck tub. He likes to play with his toys and he likes to play with the tub as well. It has a fun texture at the bottom. It's working well for us!
  • We love it!
  • DS1 loved it! I also loved that I could use it in the kitchen in a pinch to let him hang out in a cool bath on really hot (non air conditioned) summer days. DS2 isn't sitting up on his own yet, so we haven't dug it out for him yet. I think it's a great transition from sling to big bath, but agree you can't have both that tub and a toddler in the bath at the same time. When I want to bathe the boys together, I put C in the bumbo - works great!!

  • We used a duck tub while traveling and she seemed to like it. We had to hold her the whole time bc it was kinda slippery but at that time she wasn't sitting up very well yet.

  • LOVE the duck tub! We started using it once she could sit unassisted. It makes me feel better that if she were to "topple" to one side she would be cushioned. She splashes and plays with her toys. Plus.....pictures in it are adorable!

Or you could use a laundry basket. :-)
Owen loves being in a laundry basket anyway, but it works great for bath time.

Tried this yesterday.  Our basket is a rectangle and slightly bigger.  The whole thing was kind of a fail and she slipped under twice.  I think it might be about learning the proper technique.

Yikes! Yeah, I only use the round one and don't fill the tub very high. He's never slipped under, sometimes I still use the kitchen sink too.
