FYI: Breast Pump Per Calendar Year

I work for the federal government and had a friend tell me that she ordered a second pump and they sent it to her with no questions asked. (BlueCross)

I received my first one in November- called again today to inquire and they said yes, since it's January it's a new year and I'm eligible for a second one.

I figure it can't hurt for you ladies who are returning to work to have two? Look into your policy!

I can't get a pump through insurance. My insurance was canceled (without notice) in the beginning of December. Oboma care will not take effect for me till March (if we are lucky, because my state is against anything related to Oboma).

BUT I can get one through WIC. There are a lot of govt programs that can provide them.

Since the pimp provides the only source of nutrition for the first year when mom is working, it has a different income standard then traditional food stamp/WIC govt assistance. In my state, I had to sit through 30 min of 'breast is best' and got a pump.

Well, not for free. My insurance doesn't cover it unless medically necessary.

Thanks for this reminder.  I just called and ordered mine.  I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they will also provide 150 milk storage bags every 3 months?!  Sweet.
