My DH works at a car dealership, so we have a revolving door of cars. Currently I drive a '10 Chevy Equinox & DH drives an '09 Honda Civic si. It's an added perk that he can also do all maintenance & work on them himself too. My 1st car was a '99 VW bug. Loved that thing. Evil stepmom sold it without telling me. Good times.

I've been day dreaming about my very own brand new Toyota sierra lol. When we get pregnant for #2 we will get a newer used one.

What car do you currently drive? We have a GMC Terrain, Pontiac G8 GXP, and Chevy Silverado. I mostly drive the Terrain

Do you name your cars? If so, what are the names? Yes, our Terrain is Trent, G8 is Gustav, and truck is Paco

What was your first car? I drove my parent's Oldsmobile Station wagon in high school, then they have me their Pontiac Bonneville for college and bought me a new Oldsmobile Alero when I graduated college.

Future car you want to have? Haven't given this much thought. I'm happy with what we have right now.

Any car stories to share? Nope.

We have a copper-orange 2006 Ford Escape, which is my car.  It was the first car I ever bought because it was what I wanted, and not just what I could afford.  I used to drive it up forest service roads to do the great glacier hikes when I lived in the mountains.    He doesn't have a name, we just call him Escap-eh.  I bought it in 2008 with 48,000km, and he's got 230,000km now. 

Mike's commuter is a 2013 Jetta.  It's a nice car, but not a lot of personality.

My first car was a 1981 VW Rabbit.  He was brown, and had two doors, and his name was Eugene.  I sold it when I went to university, and I didn't have a car for about six years after that.  I rode shank's mare everywhere (but I was in really good shape). 

My first car after I started working in my 'big girl job' in 2004 was a blue 1997 VW Golf Diesel.  It had 230,000 km on it when I bought it.  His name was The Hindenburg because it was always breaking down.  But I still loved it. 

My cars are always boys.

We have 2 cars and 1 truck. I drive a '09 Toyota Camry, DH drives a '13 GMC Sierra and a '06 Z06 'vette.

We own all three. I'm still paying on mine but the other two are paid for.

No names for my car or the truck but I call the 'vette the "Other Woman" or "Mistress."

First car was a Neon and it had over 200,000 miles on it. Awesome car but I crashed it and it wasn't worth fixing.

My next car is going to have to be bigger. I would like a SUV. Husband says NO to mini van.

Here is a picture of the "Mistress". DH is selling her because he wants a different car. He loves fast cars and changes them out every 1-2 years.

@Clyde013 with our 240V charger about 3 hours, with the 120V about 8-9 hours. In the summer I get close to 42 miles, in the winter closer to 35. It doesn't like the cold weather too much, and the heater sucks up battery. The good news is since it is an electric heater it is almost instant heat.

My first car was a 1995 white Saturn SL1. It had automatic seatbelts and was awesome. 

i"m loving my minivan right now. Minivans for lyfe! 

I lost my virginity in a jeep. The seats folded flat in the back.

@Meimsx I love the Ford Freestyle and Taurus X. It was what I really wanted before I bought my current car. I was desperate for a newer car so I had to stop my search.

I drive a 2010 Chevy Equinox and H drives a 2006 Scion XB.

Both are paid off, we bought both from FIL.

We don't name cars but we call his the toaster oven or the box.

My first car was a Honda Civic.

I don't have any stories or a dream car. Although I do love love love the equinox.

Our current car is Zipcar. My last car (see above) is waiting for a buyer at my parents' house.  I don't want to sell her because she belonged to my grandparents and has served me well, but I won't be needing a car until 2016 and there's no point in keeping her that long.*sniff*

How many cars does your household own/lease? Well, the one that's on sale.
Do you name your cars? Not really. But I used to call her the Old Lady.
What was your first car? Chevrolet Celebrity. 
Future car you want to have? I'd like a station wagon, ideally a Mercedes station wagon, because I'm a snob like that.

Car stories: The pic you see above is of the Old Lady pre accidents. The first one was when a truck blew a tire while driving down the street she was parked in and scraped along a whole row of cars. The second accident was on an intersection when a lady going in the opposite direction decided to take a sharp left turn and T-Boned us. Both accidents were very good to us, financially, because the repairs cost a fraction of what the insurance company estimated the write off value to be (our neighbor was a mechanic).

My first car was a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am. Loved It!!

My Dream car, at this point, would be an SUV.

My husband does all the car shopping and every vehicle we own has to be white.

We also used to have a beeeeeeeee-autiful F150 supercab that we had to sell.  I loved that truck. I cried for a week after we sold it, and I still miss it.  It was my husband's baby.  

If we have another kid, I'm gaga over the GMC Acadia.  Can't fit three car seats in the Escape.

We drive Honda Civics -- a 1999 and a 2004. Both are paid for. We are waiting until we can afford to buy an electric (maybe post daycare) to get a new one. We might consider a Prius.

Until this car, I either went without or on high school drove my parents' Buick LeSabre. Hated it.

As soon as we don't need carseats, I want to bike/bus/walk to work.

I have a 2009 rav 4 that will be paid off in May. DH leases a 2011 Camary. No car names. My first car was a 1980 oldsmobile cutlass Sierra that I had in 1996. It was rusty, the roof leaked, it had no ac, but it was freedom so I loved it. I also bought it myself for $500.

@chrissiemeas the tesla gets like 300 miles. They also have a 3 year buyback program (or they did when we looked at them) where they will buy the car back from you in X years for $Y. We are seriously considering it as our next car.

Currently have an '08 Honda cr-v and it's paid off. DH has a '12 dodge ram that we are still paying on. The CR-V is really a great family car for now, but I think it'll be too small with a third kid. I really want a Toyota highlander next! My first car was a ford explorer. I loved that thing- we went through a lot together.

I drive a Nissan Rogue. I bought it when LO was about 2 weeks old. Husband and I own it and his truck. First car was a tiny Pontiac car! My Nissan is definitely the best vehicle I have owned!

I drive a 2013 Chevy Equinox and make payments on it. DH has a 2006 Ford F150. No names for these cars but DH named my old car the turd. My first car was a Chevy Prizm, don't remember what year it was, I think 99? 

As for a future car, I love my Equinox but wouldn't mind having someone with more room once we have baby #2.. maybe a Traverse or Acadia.

I drive an 04 Mazda 6. We own 3 total, DH has an F150 he uses for hunting and a corolla he drives back and forth to work

None of the vehicles we have now are named but DH's old 89 ford ranger we both loved, best truck we've ever owned & tough as anything, was the danger ranger and his mustang was mustang sally.

My first car was a 98 jeep Cherokee, the last year they actually made jeeps tough, and she was called jeepa.

I would love an SUV, maybe a Honda pilot or a Toyota highlander.

Any car stories? DH has owned 12 vehicles since we've been together. My old jeep has been wrecked by four members of my family ('totaled' once by my sister and once by me) and hit two deer, and still going strong with like 275,000 miles, my sister still drives it haha

I drive a Lexus rx350 and my husband drives a 535 BMW. We also have a Porsche 911. The Porsche is going bye bye soon. My husband is very sad. It is just not remotely practical.

Future car you want to have? I would like to have a Highlander Hybrid but it's way out of our price range. I would like a Hybrid or clean diesel both way too much for us to handle.

Any car stories to share?

Last Christmas we were driving up north to see our family. I was sleeping in the car is always and I heard a big thump, like we had something. I asked my husband "What the hell just happened? He said "I thought it was a box in the road." It turned out to be a wood beam. Lodged underneath my new car. Luckily a man with a really good carjack helped us out. And pulled the beam out from underneath the car. The rest of the way to Chicago my car was rattling. Then I got into a car accident at 15 weeks pregnant. Everything got fixed after then. So I guess it was meant to be.
