Just a vent

DD has been sleeping great since Xmas - about 8pm to 7am every night.  She's had very few random MOTN wake ups that I think were related to gassiness.  Last night she had a rough night, the first in a long time and while she'd fall asleep in my arms she would start crying a ton whenever I put her down.  I tried to let her fuss it out for a bit and she screamed Mama (first time I've heard) and I broke down.  I felt awful for letting her cry and DH said she has to learn.  She fell asleep less than 10 minutes later and since I was a mess I just went to bed myself.  She was a perfectly smiling happy baby this morning so I know it didn't affect her but I was in knots most of the night.
