I love both Gabriel and Cyrus. But I don't really think of Cyrus as a biblical name. Yes, he appears in the Bible and is influential in the history of the Jewish people, but he was a Persian emperor and would still have been a major figure in ancient history if the Bible had never been written. I think it's a great name, but won't necessarily have the connotations to others that you're looking for.

I LOVE Cyrus, but like PP, I don't think it's going to give the impression you want, so if you want a strong biblical name, I'd pick Gabriel. But, I really love love love Cyrus
