Haven't done one of these in a while..... Anyone down for a MIL bitchfest?

Months ago, MIL had offered to donate used items I had been given for LO, but decided I didn't want, to her church.

The day after DH's fight with MIL, she made us take everything of LO's out of her house and said she would never watch her again.

I realized when I got the stuff home that a lot of it looked familiar, but didn't belong.

She kept all the stuff she was supposed to donate......stuff she knew that for one reason or another I didn't want for LO. Not to mention that none of it was washed, because I knew wasn't keeping it! Gross.

Last weekend my MIL visited and lo fell asleep for a nap while we were out so when we got home I left her in her carseat to finish her nap. MIL starts moving and adjusting her coat blankets and jingling her toys so that she could get a pic of LO in her carseat because she looked "cute". Um...no. rule #1-let a sleeping baby sleep.

She also kept putting toys and her face like thisclose to her face to the point that LO would have meltdowns. Had to tell her a few times to just let her play and she would come to you.

@nailqueen it was funny to see her with my parents this weekend. She was all smiles and had really no meltdowns. (Minus a couple at night but she is sick.)

My MIL watched LO this weekend. I showed her how to make the rice cereal and she apparently didn't watch. She called my DH and said LO was doing well and eating fabulous. She made a 5oz bottle of water and put 4tbs off rice cereal but didn't tell us this on the phone. I was so upset because that's alot of water. I don't think I'd care about the rice in the bottle if she actually put the formula. When my DH and I got to her house I went into the kitchen and grabbed the formula powder to show her and all I got was I didn't see it. It was sitting on her table next to the bottles. LoL She also sings a song in Spanish and at the end she does the part so loud that it makes my DH and I cringe every time. She does show up sometimes and calls when she's outside to ask if she can come over which gets frustrating especially since we have things to do. Other then that she's been pretty good.

@mishy2006 haha that is exactly how I feel. Only it's my parents who say stuff like that. My MIL is cool.

Although last time I saw her she did say one thing that bugged me (really rare). I work for a big financial institution but I work in a projects and tech side of legal compliance letters. I couldn't tell you anything about credit cards, late fees, etc. my ILs make no effort to ask what I do. It's really techy and honestly I bore myself trying to explain it. DH was trying to brag that if my next project goes well I'd get a promotion. Instead of saying congrats or asking what kind of project, my MIL just looks and at me and says "oh I have 27,000 miles". I just looked at her like WTF? She then said she has 27,000 miles on her credit card and asked what she could get with that. SMH

My MIL put the guilt trip on DH again last weekend. She is upset the boys don't come to her house. She had her cataracts fixed and thinks I'll leave them with her, since she is no longer legally blind. She is a heavy smoker and the little man is using a nebulizer so what part of that is a good idea. (Plus she weighs 85lbs and has other health issues.) I'm tired of arguing about her with DH.

Icing on the cake. MIL has MRSA!! Fantastic....now on top of me being sick and LO not getting better we get this news. Ugh!!! Good thing LO has an appt tpmorrow am.
