Great idea, although I'm really not having a bad Monday. I'll go with this morning, Charlie has taken to giving kisses in the morning and she was grabbing my hand while I was changing her and gave it a kiss and then hugged it. I melted.
Even a minor event in
the life of a child is an event of that child's world and thus a world
event.
Yesterday me and my DH went for a bike ride - just two of us. We have not done it for at least 2 years. It was so nice! We went to a sea dock and sat there for few minutes, and talked about where we would go travel if we could. I have not felt so happy and at peace for longest time. I thought that it is much better then a planned date with a fancy dinner, candlelight etc. And it did not cost us anything. Which proves my theory that the best things in life can not be bought with money.
P was getting out of the bathtub and pointed at himself. I said that's Pearson. He pointed at me and said "Mommy!" He has never said mommy to me before. Just mama. Be still my heart.
Liam busting some dance moves at our friend's daughter's 5th birthday party this weekend. He's the life of the party! And DH tearing up when Emma grabbed his face and tenderly kissed him.
LOL @hijoi, get it gurrrrrrrl!!! (The sex AND the asparagus!) :P
Mine is a fb repeat, but I just can't get over it! Benjamin's latest preschool project. Sorry for those seeing it twice:
I am just a big puddle of a mommy staring at this project. I love that we have friends who make appearances like this in our special little moments of life. I love that he made Hayden's hair brown and wavy, and a little long. I love that his shirt is orange, because Benjamin knows that's his friend's favorite color. Most of all, I love that when asked what makes my son wonderful, he said without question, it's the way he treats others. That's it, man. That's the stuff.
When I get Taylor out of the bath, she will charge me full force and run into the towel to dry off. Last night I got her out and she charged at me like a damn bull and knocked me onto my back, with her on my chest/tummy. She laughed hysterically and licked my nose. Then we did it again a couple more times since she was so amused.
Watching her play at the park with a friend from DC. They had so much fun running around, laughing and hugging each other. Seeing her so happy makes me happy.
We went to a museum yesterday and watched Robert have fun playing in the kids area and looking at the train display. And today I got my Mother To Be massage, facial, and pedicure that I got for Christmas from DH!

Putting Em in her crib last night and for nap today. She smiled a sleepy smile and said "night night mama". Watching her plant kisses on her daddy, stomp in puddles, demand that her grandparents sing ring around the rosy a million times so she can twirl, and love on her brother...these are all moments that make the bad days shine bright again.
I had the day off today and it was really nice out so I took Frankie outside to play and he goes straight to my husbands lawn mower every single time. It cracks me up how he does everything just like his daddy. He moves the shifter and turns the steering wheel it's so funny.
Olivia just helped me unload the dishwasher. She took all of the silverware out of the tray and put it in the correct drawer. When we were done she closed the dishwasher and gave me a big hug. *Heart melt* I love her so much!

Last night we were at my parents for dinner. After we ate both girls were crawling all over me. They were having a blast and giggling up a storm. It was exactly what I needed after my fight with DH.
Last night after Ava went to bed my H and I stayed up and watched a couple episodes of Dance Moms (I know, TERRIBLE right??? We are hooked though, ugh). We always laugh/make fun of how the girls do this ridiculous side step/dance move as they exit the stage. It looks hilariously stupid. So after we turned it off to head to bed, my H was cleaning up all Ava's scattered toys and I went to turn off the lights in the kitchen. As I came back into the living room, I suddenly broke out into a very exaggerated side step/dance move like the girls on the show and I did it across the living room past my H. He was in hysterics! So then he joined me and we danced all over the living room like lunatics for a few minutes. We were laughing so hard I thought we had woken Ava up. Then we went to bed and had ST, and we had ST again this morning when we woke up. We better start being careful or I'm going to get knocked up again.
