I'm ready for more recs. I loved Attachments and Fan Girl. I just finished Slight Settled by Wendy Markham and Fault Line by C Desir ( it was just ok).
I should be able to pick up Sharp Objects this weekend at the library. Any other good reads?
I bought Divergent for M for Christmas. I was going to wait for her to read it first, but she hasn't even started it yet so I think I'll just go ahead.

Just read it and put it back. She probably wouldn't even notice! Oh and then tell me how it is

Read it. I still have the last one in the trilogy to read, but I'm scared to finish
@mrsbutt that book solidified my new love of Stephen King
I've stared Dan Brown's latest, Inferno. So far it is interesting and just the sort of semi mindless fare I like to squeeze in during DDs naps.
I finished the Dan Koontz (not Dean mind you) book The I.P.O. on vacay. It had so much promise, then fizzled. Stupid free Kindle lending library reviews. Lies!
I'm reading "The Luminaries" by Eleanor Catton. It's a mystery set in a gold mining town in New Zealand. I go back and forth on whether I like it. I'm very interested in learning more about the mystery, and the character development is fantastic, so it's engrossing in that sense. However, it is loooooong, and it does drag occasionally.
I just finished "Dad is Fat" by Jim Gaffigan. It was hilarious! A very quick read too. I'm about to start "David and Goliath" by Malcolm Gladwell. I've loved all his previous books, so I'm hoping this one is as good as the rest!
The Shunning Beverly Lewis. I like it, I just read another trilogy of hers, but basically I need long books that are part of a series. I have a hard time letting go I guess.
I went to get the book from M and it turns out she has started it. She's five chapters I, and enjoying it. Guess I'll have to wait my turn.

I eventually want to answer one of these posts with Written in My Own Heart's Blood. I swear the next Outlander novel is never going to be released. The date change almost made me cry.
I'm on book 3 of A Song of Ice and Fire series. I'm really liking it as it's keeping me on my toes.
Oh girl... That is the best book.
Oh... good! I'm really digging it!
Have y'all seen the series? Does book 3 go beyond what last season was on TV? I really want to finish the books (only read #1) but I also get tired of reading everything that I've already seen. Just wondering how much/how far the TV went up to.

Don't even get me started. It makes me more depressed knowing that I will finish it in a week, and have to wait another 5 years for the next one.

I've only seen 6 episodes of season 1, and that was over a year ago. It was very similar to the book. However, I have heard that there are many similarities and differences between the two. I'm waiting to watch until I've caught up with the books.

I know. I fly right through the Outlander books and then I'm sad for years. I need to reread An Echo in the Bone again before starting the new one. I read it preparation for the first anticipated release and have forgotten the storyline again.
My med term book but once I get caught up there I'd like to read on my lunch breaks. Is the Outlander series YA?
Harry Styles = Life Ruiner
There’s a lightningin your eyes I can't deny Then there’s me inside a sinkingboat running out of time Without you I'll never make it out alive But I know, yes, I know we’ll be alright

No. It's an adult book series. It's a nice blend of sci-fi, historical fiction and romance. The first book in the series is over 600 pages.
Hmm. I must be thinking of something else. It might be too deep for lunch time reading.

Yea, it's more, don't plan on doing anything for the rest of the week. Maybe get a babysitter and put the dog in a kennel. I kid of course, but any spare second I have, I am reading it. IF it would ever come.
