Brice vs Bryce

I believe Bryce is more common now but Brice was the original spelling as far as I can tell. Which is better/more acceptable? I think DH may be starting to get on board with this name.

    My vote goes to Bryce. I don't normally like 'y' everywhere,  but I don't like the way Brice looks.

    Ok so this isn't an offender of random y in the name and I wouldn't get side eyed. Good deal! Now to convince dh.

    Brice looks off to me. I think Bryce is the more acceptable spelling these days.

    I don't typically like y's, as a PP mentioned. But with this, I do.  I like Bryce. Brice looks weird.

    Rank 117 vs 930: Bryce wins for familiarity. Brice looks really odd to me too, as much as I also hate y's where there don't need to be y's.

    Usually I stick with the oldest spelling and steer clear of the trendy y but Bryce just looks so much more "right" than Brice. 

    My only reservation with Bryce is that it is so similar to the very trendy Bryson. I love the name Bryce though!

    Bryson is terrible. There was St. Brice so I know it's legit, it just looks off.

    I agree that Bryson is not a great name. I have only known 1 Bryce in my life and he was so smart and handsome so only good associations here.... but only in the last few years have I started to hear Bryson popping up and Bryce is a nickname for it. Just something that would keep me from ever choosing it, even though it really shouldn't.

    Bryce looks more legit to me.  While the name is NMS, Bryce reminds me of Bryce Canyon, which is a good association.

    I would probably pronounce brice like breese.
    I don't think this counts as a random Y. Just a name that has a y in it.
