LO eating ?

Since yesterday Mirabelle has wanted to eat constantly. I'm thinking a growth spurt. The problem is that she only wants to eat clementines. She will say "No" and push other food away. I never paid attention to the picky eater posts because Mirabelle has never been picky. Any suggestions or advice to get her back to normal? I think she may be teething again; she won't let me look but I thought I felt a new tooth when she was nursing. TIA!

  • I left her favorite food, Cheerios out and she just finally ate a few. The dogs ate a few that she dropped and she freaked out.

  • Cooper has done that too. I keep offering other foods, but will let him eat whatever (within reason) that he wants. I figure there must be something in that food that his body is saying it needs.

  • I try and give Cosette a diverse meal with at least one item she loves. If teething perhaps try apples pear slices. These go over really well when she's teething. It will pass in a few days though.
This is what we do as well. I have a picky eater so I always offer one thing she likes at a meal. I usually offer it after I put the other items out so that she may at least try them. Some days she is better about it than others.
  • Hibicus- That makes a lot of sense. She does keep going to her highchair and saying eat, eat. But when I tried to put her in it she threw a tantrum so I don't think she's really hungry everytime. I've left some food out on the coffee table on one of her plates so if she wants to eat she can. You said it lasted a few weeks?! She's soo cranky I hope it only lasts a few days...

  • DS goes through food phases too. It doesn't last very long, and often corresponds to him learning the word for the food. Once he learned "banana" that's all he wanted. Before that it was melon, then it was bagels, and now it's olives ("oyives"). I don't give him that food until he's eaten other food, then I bring it out at the end. The phases haven't lasted too long, maybe a few days each.
